Mirror's Edge $6 on newegg.

Not what you said here:- :p

It's system specs are not really all that high. Of course I wouldn't upgrade for Mirrors Edge but lets be honest, many games now require SM3, that doesn't make them shit ports, it just means they are supporting a feature available available since 2004.

Meh, still dislike the port of Mirror's Edge though. An example: I know you can use the Xbox 360 controller for PC, but come on, at least change the buttons to mach those of a PC keyboard and mouse.

My Mirrors Edge does, as I unplugged my 360 pad to get rid of them, after it displayed the keyboard controls in on screen prompts.

I don't even have a 360. Is there a way to fix this?

My mirror's edge has never shown 360 buttons ever in the history of foreverness.

As far as port quality goes, Mirror's Edge is one of the best console to PC ports in recent times considering all the crap that the PC has been getting (Ghostbusters anyone?). Anyway, I don't really get what you're trying to say and it's too late for me to try to make sense of it all. Looks like you're changing your argument in every post.

Yeah, it's called advancing the discussion. The controller thing must be a bug then. Still annoyed that you get borders if you play at 1920x1200 though. (Must be 1920x1080 to remove them.)

That I will agree with.

There is 1 Problem with this Game:
1There is not that many Weapons.

YESthere is!!!!!You can steal them from the Police guys.Rarely though

Hes saying that the problem is that there are guns in it. Hes saying there shouldnt be.

I'm inclined to say that there were a perfect amount of guns. Just enough to grab one clear a path and drop it without breaking the flow of the game.

so what do the people that ordered game think of it sofar?

I'm probably only like halfway into it but I can say this about it so far... the "combat" is a huge cock in the midst of what would otherwise be a pretty awesome little game that I'd kinda group with Portal, which I loved. But no... "blues up ahead... looks like you're gonna have to fight!" Huge cock.

I got the game yesterday.
I have to say, it's a lot better than I had anticipated. Flawed for sure, but fresh and fun.

The color palette is easily my favorite thing about the game, to my surprise. I expected it to be very redundant, but the environments are far more varied than expected.

I do love the whole acrobatics type gameplay, which is interesting and fun. I heard some people complain about it being repetitive, but I feel it would be like calling Portal repetitive ("ZT Portal is way better than-" YES I KNOW SHAT AP) in the sense that you are taught basic skills and you have to apply them in all sorts of puzzle like environments, and I'm a sucker for environmental puzzles.

However, the combat portion is pretty shitty, and some areas of the game are frustratingly stupid.

The cartoon cinematics are a sore thumb too, it's a clear sign of laziness IMO, and a huge break from immersion.

So far the story isn't awful, but it's not spectacular either.

Whats wrong with the combat? I hear everyone bitching about it, but I dont see anything wrong with it. Its pretty easy on the lower difficulties, but decently challenging on hard mode. The only gripe I have about it is the animations when you steal a gun from someone. Theres only one per gun type and thats lame.

It didn't feel right with the game. It was alright sometimes, but it was very formulaic.

For a game where you practically play a acrobatic ninja, the combat options weren't all that spectacular. Attempting any sort of stealth attack was futile, and this is the type of game where it would be most handy.
There were only a few times where I was presented with the option to run up behind someone from surprise.
Not saying all moments should be like this of course, it would slow down the pace of the game.

Also, I want to note that all the "boss battles" were lame as hell.
