Missing t-shirt in gold package delivered to me today

Today i finally received my half-life 2 gold package deal thing.
I was so happy that i got it but something was missing.... my tshirt. is any one else missing a t-shirt or am i the only one? :(
 
You get a cap or whatever it's called instead. But Valve has said we will be able to buy the T-shirt later on separately.
 
I want a t-shirt, you can get them on ebay, not official but there are some good ones.

There's a list right on the Steam purchase page, before you buy. It tells you everything you'll get in the package:

Yeah, you only get teh t-shirt in the collectors edition. and even thats not that great.
Its just the symbol placed on a black shirt with no text.

i say I can make a better tshirt. and a orange one at that.
 
i hope people who get the CE and dont want the t-shirt sell them over ebay, i wouldnt mind one...

No it still sucks, if everyone can get it over steam, do that. cheaper, you get more and it won't suck.

Unless you live in europe, hell their standard edition comes on dvd and has a nice dvd case.

+ there collectors edition, its in a metal tin apparently. :naughty:

The Collectors editon? no it sucks plain and simple. utter rip off.

IF you can't buy it from steam for whatever reason, then buy the standard edition, you save yourself quite a few bucks...

No t-shirt and some stupid sampler book is worth the price diffrence.

you also get hl:s and you are also paying for the convienience of having the game on 1 disc then on 5 cds (which seems to be the official disc amount)
if you are so concerned about price then why dont you just stick with the normal ver... point is you are spoiled you making a big deal over what type of case it uses.....
the case is only pennies even a dvd case is only pennies... its the content the case is holding that is important...
i honestly dont give a damn if it came in paper sleeves.. or in the case that it does come in.... ITS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!!!! what would you rather them give you the game in no case???
All you need a case for is to protect the cd from damage..
thats the only use of a case has
 
Your not getting it either, when you pay over ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS

you expect them to at least "TRY" and put some quality into it.

Instead they give crap, and go cheap so they can make more money.

and what are you talking about "its better then nothing" that would be true if all we could buy is the CE, but we have a large number of choices, Thus The smart thing would be to avoid the CE, becuase its a WASTE OF MONEY plain and simple.
 
not a waste to me... your just too spoiled and dont realize what is more important... yes sure the shirt may be cheap... but hey its something that they didnt even have to give.. if you dont like it thats fine but to some people the $100 dollar investment is well worth it
 
Know I see why you have a pickle shoved up your behind over all this.

You already wasted your money on it and thus are trying to Justify your purchase when you could have made a smarter choice.

In retail we see this all the time.
 
i accept it because i accept the fact that valve or any other company can give us the game in whatever shape its in....
if you dont like it thats Tough... dont buy retail games again...
but as long as you buy games retail accept the FACT that you will get what they give you and in the shape they give it to you in and not the way you want it given to you

its the world we live in... Deal with it

I got the CE for 58$ at walmart.com 3 months ago before they upped the price, clearly a deal even over the steam packages... so im not losing sleep over a dvd case, though I would like it. And the CE at the price I got it is more then worth it.

Well, your one of the lucky few that got a nice deal in that case.
 
Walmart had it priced at 58$ about 4 months ago, up untill about a month and half ago, as a preorder. At that point there was a increase to 78$. Some people on Gotfrag.com, a big CS site, posted in the community news how Walmart had it cheaper then everyone else, so i headed over and preordered it. Walmart never noted a price increase for us preorders, and when I emailed them they noted the price would stay the same, and we wouldnt be billed the extra.

Oh, i know you can buy steam and "get a better deal" but you fail to also realize not everyone has a fast enough inet connection to preload hl2.. so to some people getting it via steam isnt an option...


and i still say evven if the ce may be done cheaply its still better than nothing....

look i understand being mad about it if its not much better than normal retail version which you only get half life 2 and cs:s and its on 5 cds in paper sleeves

where ce comes on 1 dvd in a cd case and also includes hl:s + you get the tshirt and a guide sampler...

you have to remember some people only got 2 options if they want the game...
getting the game through steam is not an option to some
 
Ive even preloaded mine, in hopes that I can just use the dvd's serial and just unlock it on steam like was allowed with Condition zero, and valves other recent releases, allowing me to skip the ever so small any how, dvd install time.

All the ce is really giving us is a t-shirt and a book sampler. Big woop.

its quite easy to take those 5 cds from the standard and make them into a single dvd, after all its just the steam backup files that everyone has already.

I don't really count "hl:s" as a incentive to spend quite a bit more money to get the CE, when Ive had the same game since 98.
 
Wait, the CE only comes with a sample of the strategy guide? It isn't the Raising the Bar book? Well, shit. I think I just paid $30 for a t-shirt.
 
I really felt the hl:s was a good incentive. It is my favorite game, ever.

Though the choice came between steam silver, and the CE. The silver was 5$ more, then what i paid of course, didnt have a the tshire or sampler however, but it did have DOD:s. I hardly play dod now, just a rare break from CS, but it might have been nice, but not necessary.

Now if you compare the CE's real retail price, what most people are paying for it, ya its a jip compared to the Silver package, I totally agree there. 20$ more for a shirt vs dod:s.... ya right.

So i can see the CE being a rip off to most.

it counts... its another thing normal retail buyers dont get...
Thats what makes it collectors edition you get things normal retail buyers wont get
 
And I am not happy about this "prima sampler". For the price of the CE the whole damn strategy guide should come with the game. Sure gamefaqs.com is just a click away. But the cool pictures, and game info contained in the Guide would be nice to have, and not have to drop another 15$ on.

All games in europ are in these dvd boxes because its economicly cheaper (transport and storrage space) for the greedy publishers.
That means no box with extended flap, no extra's if it can't fit inside the dvd box, and they manage to put 5 cd's inside sutch a dvd case.

Personally i'm still not happy with that development, for me it means it requires more stocking place around my pc because these dvd boxes are bigger as a cd case.
And those instances with 5 cd's in a dvd are usually rather clumsy, 3 cd's raw on top of eatchother, a 4th on a plate with hinges and the 5's in a plasic foilage behind a clip on the right side flap.
 
well ya, if it were cds in that case, i would be pissed to. But one dvd in a dvd box is a definate plus.

Too bad for you guys though, packing those cds in there like that seems like quite the sham, plus the risk of scratching them
 
OKKKKK SO DOES THE COLLECTERS EDITION COME WITH JUST A SAMPLE PRIMA GUIDE OR THE WHOLE GUIDE? in those picures it looks like its the whole guide, i hope it is or else im gonna throw a fit at gamestop until they give me a prima guide.

MUST KILL GAMESTOP EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!! im seriouly gonna go in there and start screaming and killing like a ****ing idiot if they dont give me a full prima book, im not gonna pay 80$ for a t-shirt and game wtf, preorder vampire the masquerde and you get a free t-shirt, they should have given them out with preorders, the gamestop website says that it will be the prima strategy guide not a ****ING SAMPLER!!!!!!!!!! IM GONNA DO IT!!!!!

im gonna have my friend come in with a video camera to record it, then ill post it, goddamn those mother ****ers......



im ordering gold right now.........goddamn it
