Just finished a nice hot bowl of my mom's gumbo. I tell ya, on a cold February day like this, nothing hits the spot quite like a big bowl of gumbo. What warms you up right on a cold day?

Chicken Curry....hmmmmmm....

What is gumbo?

Well, anybody in the U.S. can tell you, but if they're outside Louisiana, they'll probably tell you something wrong (thanks for providing an example of this, Tr0n). It's a stew that has its origins with the Creoles around here (they're the descendants of black slaves and European settlers). It uses a little substance called "roux" as a base, and ya throw in meat and spices, and serve it over rice. There are lots of different kinds. I just had chicken and sausage gumbo, but my favorite (and probably the most famous) is seafood gumbo.

the failure of my son''s two ply diapers :E

I didn't give an example bastard! :( Since you are a cajun then it is ragin cajun food.

I had mine with chicken....I'm not much for seafood but I wouldn't mind trying it with shrimp.Also...I have to have mine very spicy.

That is massive!!!

i woulda thought if you lef tit in the cupboard for a while and tried to take it out it would bite you!

Seeing as how Mardi Gras is next week, I'm going to be eating alot of gumbo.

Well in the mornings I normally eat porridge...but I don't get cold so its not really an issue.

This may be because I have, what some call, a dangerous fascination with fire.

pfff, that muffin is totally not massive, that is "regular" muffin to me. i've eaten muffins the size of your kidney!
