Mobo's Audio and Speakers

It will work , no probs... but to take real advantage of those speakers you are going to be wanting an Audigy 2 ZS.

agreed. youll need an actual sound card and not a built in one to make good use of those babies. a mate of mine has them, and he too has an Audigy 2 ZS...omg...dont turn those things up too high....unless you want a new extention to your house (which you will need if you do).

but its upto you and your great friend: Mr Budget.

Just my 2 cents:
If you're interested in good surround sound, and maybe for $100-150 cheaper, I'd recommend the Logitech Z-680's. It's 5.1 instead of 7.1, but I have yet to see (or rather, hear) an appreciable difference between them when it comes to your typical gaming. Now, if you regularly watch DVD's and such on your PC and happen to have a theatre-like setup, you might want the 7 satellites. But I find that for everyday surround sound, 5 is enough. As far as hardware compatibility, that Mobo will be fine with either set, but you really would be better off in the long run with a nice Audigy. Do your speakers, and your ears, a favor and get an after-market sound card. You'll never go back to integrated.
