I had an idea for a mod and sent the following email to gabe, im awating a response. What do you guys think?

Hello Gabe,

I have an idea for a MOD and im curious if it is possible.

I would like to create a mod that allows the playback of the death animation, while you are waiting for the next round to start. Maybe have the game constantly streaming the last 5 seconds of whats going on to a file on disk, then when you are dead, you can press a button and watch in slow motion if you would like, possibly frame by frame, with a forward and back button.

That's a very good idea, one of the only things I liked about the CoD MP. Certainly helps eliminate the "How the %&@# did he kill me!?!"

Absolutely right.

It can get annoying if you want to know what happened and there's like this 3-4 second delay from death before you can see where it came from........not that I die often.......(cough).

It would not be a bad idea at all. It could be a good learning experiance, plus it is an awesome way to stop hackers.

Hey! Great idea man. Actually I've already seen something similar in some original CS servers. What happened there was that when you died there was a red bullet trace line drawn from the weapon of the shooter to the hitpoint.

That's an awesome idea and it'd kick ass if it were implemented into Counter-Strike.

Certainly help against cheats etc, but then in a game like CS Source, you dont want to be shown where you good hiding position is etc. But you can turn it off etc if needed for a match and that.

Id vote for it.

Well, spectator mode kinda ruins the whole "don't want him to see my spot" anyways, so it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

All they have to do is when fadetoblack is on, it disables kill cam. Problem solved.

They did that in Firearmes. I think you can do it with the source engine.
