I've been modelling for a while and wanted to get into doing a mod with some other people. Ideally I want to be able to learn a lot from the exerience. Posted are some examples of my work. I'll post some low poly examples if you want them (just can't find them atm) :cheese:

Nice work. We at Rivals could use another hand modelling. As you can see, we have a bunch done already. Check out the site and the forums if you are interested and let me know. Thanks. :)

Hey, if your a music man then we want you.

And by "we" I mean the team at http://www.defensecommand.com

Defense Command is a cross between a 3rd person shooter and a real time strategy game, though not how you'd expect. You control a single unit throughout the game. The unit is basically a squad consisting of several soldiers and/or vehicles as well as other unit types to come.

The camera is situated above and behind your unit and is angled down slightly to provide a better view of your troops. Control is similar to many third person shooters with the main difference being that the Y axis of the mouse does not tilt the camera but instead moves a cursor across the ground so the player can target the enemy unit he wishes.

There are many strategic things involved as well. As you fight you gain Tech Points and as your team reaches certain numbers of points they gain upgrades they can assign to their units. Their are other buildings such as hospitals and barracks, which spawn and heal your troops, and factories and garages, which spawn and repair vehicles as well as repair troop armour.

It is, of course, far deeper than this, adding a true strategy element to the game play and if you're really interested you should check out the documentation.

There will also be back stories behind certain characters and events, much like in Star Craft or Warhammer, which will create a more real attachment to special characters and give the game a more realistic feel and story element.

Finally, it will be multiplayer

http://www.defensecommand.com is our web site.

You can check out the design doc on the "about" page or view sketches on teh media page.

We at Animosity could use another modeler. No website YET, but I have a thread posted where you can get some of the mod's idea.

http://www.mind-body-power.net

I like your stuff, and I have a some specific stuff I would like you to work on if you're interested in joining us =) Mainly, we need a modeler for creating village models (spawn points, towers, health centers, turrets, etc etc... more info at the site). If you're interested at all, contact me at [email protected]

Send me if you're interested in working for a MOD team that is... very different from all others in both genre and practice. We are keeping details fairly secret from the public, but I could let you know a bit more if you email me with interest:
