Eh, a shield wouldn't be particularly overpowered in a CoD game anyway as it would be little more than a great big bullet proof sign saying "please pelt me with grenades"

It is. Haven't you ever watched Ghost with Patrick Swayze?"...it takes over every man it touches."
Er, what? Is that really the key characteristic of ghosts?
"Revenge is like a ghost..."
Oh?
"...it takes over every man it touches."

"Its thirst cannot be quenched until the last man standing has fallen."
I think we're referring to different things here.
Woo, Call of Duty: Scripted Warfare 2
When the hell did Call of Duty become a series with James Bond style super villains? I gotta say I lol'd
This would be a legitimate criticism if IW didn't do some of the best "scripting" in the industry. The single player fps inherently uses scripting in order to advance the plot. Contrary to flame posts from overtired mouth breathing aspies on various gaming boards, huge amounts of scripting are seen in nearly all the major groundbreaking fps titles since Wolfenstein 3D. If anything it's progressive with just how much is done in-engine without relying on cut scenes and automated sequences.
fair enough, I never finished CoD4's single player and I don't really plan on it.
You haven't tried either of the games' multiplayer? You're missing out.
I'm not a real hard-core COD4 guy, but on any difficulty below Veteran I didn't find that to really be the case. I die plenty, but it check points so frequently it was never a big deal.Good plan; it's a colossal waste of time unless you're intent on a masochistic ritual.
Can it be true? The mighty intelligence of Samon, confounded by a simple linear rollercoster ride?Good plan; it's a colossal waste of time unless you're intent on a masochistic ritual.
11/10/09 shall be a glorious day. DO WANT.
EDIT: Wait, is that the illogical time format that America seems to use? Is it November 10th or October 11th?
