MOH:Airborne PC DEMO now live!

so is there anyway that non-subscribers can get this anyway?

F*cking Fileplanet gave me a shite download. Hopefully Gamershell can do better.

works great, ran on full settings. The game is really good but it has its flaws. First its piss easy, even on the harder modes. Also even if theres a big area were u can go anywhere, most of it is limited by walls or closed doors that you cant open :/

and the most annoying thing: The sounds!!! The gun sounds are so weak, it doesnt make me feel the real power of the weapons, theres no real background sound and the explosion sounds are gay too. Its also pretty annoying that it doesnt have any anastrophic filtering and Antilising options :/ every single Unreal Engine 3 game ive played so far doesnt...is this standard by the engine? How can it be so next gen and high tech but no support for these things???

overall the game was good but nothing to get over hyped about. Definantly better then previous MOH games tho...which i hated.

FFS can't install cause of the damn AGEIA drivers.

First of all I extracted the exe archive on my own (don't have enough space on C:\ for it to dump all the shit there) and run Setup.exe. So first goes the AGEIA PhysX stuff, extracting it's own files and gathering system info and then just closes. That's it. Just exits the whole installation process.

So I tried installing the PhysX driver manually, but when I click "Next" in the license agreement window which nobody reads, nothing happens. Of course I agree, I even scrolled down in case it was that smart, but clicking "Next" does nothing :/

played a bit last night ..game crashed on me 3 times ..combat is fun, the movement is somewhat realistic ..I like the running effect and the melee attack is kinda cool but I really didnt get a chance to use it as there was always some distance between combatants ..I like the open ended system ..I landed in different areas during drops and ended playing the game differently each time ..the guns need more kick and they need to fix the crashing, stuttering sound problems ...all in all it feels like a MoH, but not a sucky MoH game

Managed to install and play it for a while and... did I just enjoy some MoH? Yes I did! :) It is still MoH with the player being a super-soldier and the enemy AI sucking a bit, but the whole open ended system made it finally enjoyable for me. Worth a download.

Check this site for mods. There's one changing all enemy AI to Elite SS German AI (I assume it's the one you're fighting against for a few seconds before the demo ends) which is an upgrade and one that (...) lets you play around with all three weapon upgrades, including the K98/M1 grenade launchers.

SM 3 required? **** it, I'll wait for the 360 demo
Any idea when that is coming??? I just got an HDMI-/Zephyr- enabled 360 Premium so I am very excited to start downloading some kick-ass demos from the Live things I have been hearing so much about...:D

i agree that the demo objective is very linear. honestly the only thing that isnt is where you start and you begin with. other then that everything is the same. also did anyone hate the motion blur when you turn? i swear it hurt my eyes after playing it.

X800 pro no sm3. "Your video card is not supported. Please don't buy our game"

No problem.

360 Demo is out now on Live. Very cool stuff so far but no, nothing ridiculously spectacular. Bioshock is much cooler for me right now.

Overall I thought the demo was quite a bit of fun, what really got me though was the pointless cut-scenes that broke immersion and took away player control, I can't stand it when FPS games do that. Also just the general feeling of aiming seemed cumbersome, maybe this is because my computer chugs a bit on UE3.

I also can't stand it when games based on historical battles don't feature realistic violence, when I shoot someone, they rebound and maybe a puff of smoke rises from their clothing - that has to stop. I guess that's what you get with companies like EA who want a teen rating on every game they put out.

cant play constantly crashes ..but I want to play

no, you don't want to ;D

A preview version of the game was rated by a german magazine yesterday with a 7.7 ... They said the graphics were kickass but it was just another MoH shooter with WW2 setting. It took them 6-7 hours to beat the entire preview which is supposed to have the full set of levels.

Tried the 360 demo. Yet another fine, polished nail to hammer into the WW2 shooter's coffin. Hopefully.

Oh, and the controls are shite. What's with game designers making the controls sluggish and heavy to try and feign realistic movement? Immersive =/= intuitive, apparently.

Yet the game features health packs, and apparently doesn't aim to be realistic in any other aspect.

D:

Though the game had some cool things, like the awards system that upgrades your weapons, I love RPG elements on my fps games - though one could say it's out of place in historical shooters.

Agreed. If it's not a nail into the WW2 themed shooter's coffin - there sure can still something original be done with this setting - it will at least be a nail into MoH's coffin and i'm totally fine with it.

They brought this game to the table a few years too late if you ask me. The parachuting entry to a level is awesome, but once you're on the ground you may as well be playing Call of Duty, Brothers in Arms or any other Medal of Honor game.

So true, another problem is that you spend the rest of the mission after parachuting in wandering around an empty town trying to find your objective, I like the stylish drop-ins you can do though, especially through a window or something. The upgrades are a cool idea, I'd rather they base the upgrades on progression into the game and not on kills, I sat back and got 3 upgrades on 3 different weapons by just killing the endless amount of NPCs that come at you

MoH games are pretty fun online, Got this demo sitting on my HDD but cba to install it ... might try it later. I really enjoy WW2 games so this should be fun.

I read this thread as I was downloading the demo. Needless to say I cancelled the download at 4% and I'll be pretending that this game doesn't exist.
