The DVD special edition came out today ..anyone get it yet? please post your impressions of the game if you've played it ..i'm waiting for it to come out on cd before I purchase it

hmmm what can you possibly want more than MoH? (HL2 is a given so that doesnt count

I went to EB today and it was $79 for the special edition ..the guy said the cd version comes out on wednesday

I bought it and am probably 3/4 finished.

the game owns, I have had more fun playing this than Doom3. Game spot review was trash.

Especaily were he said that parts of it seem to come right out of the movie Pearl Harbor. Other that part of the game takes place in pearl harbor there is not a single relation bewteen the two. In allied assault it was easy to see the simularities between Saving private ryan and hitting the beach on Omaha. In this case the only simularity is the fact that it takes place on the same island as pearl harbor the movie.

anyways the game rocks. It is linear, but thats not a bad thing in this case. I especialy like the way you need a medic to heal you, and if you get shot you dont allways die right away. Most of the time you fall to the ground and everything turns grey.

In one accassion, I was laying on the ground injured and a Japanese soldier came over to me. I was looking up at him when he placed his boot on my chest. He then pointed his gun at my face and turned his head. All I heard was a lound sudden bang, a sudden flash and everything went black.

Seriously I am having way more fun with this game than I did with Doom3.

I also really like the sounds especialy the weapons. The .45 actualy sounds like a .45 pop.

Anyways I give MOH

A a 9.6 out of 10.

you're already 3/4 finished? it just came out today! hehe ..nice review btw what was the flying like? do you get full control? is there a ceiling? can you smash into the ground/objects? have you tried multiplayer yet? is there freedom of movement (can you approach from different areas like in far cry?) or is more linear than MoH AA?

Get the farking MP demo. MP is fun but slow, COD multiplayer is more fun and fast-paced.

I have the DVD special edition and it's well worth it. I recommend this game to anyone..it's awesome. The action sequences are some of the best I have ever seen..especially pearl harbor..THAT IS AWESOME! Anyway..the game is totally insane..the soundtrack is awesome and your always part of a team..which is really good...and your team mates are also very good (good AI) and the game is hard...unlike the other MOH games. Go buy it now!

if you want a good WWII game, stick with Call of Duty and United Offensive :thumbs:

i agree that the mp in COD got old fast
however, i believe they've fixed that with the expansion pack... new modes, vehicles... its alot of fun
if you ask me, PA's graphics dont look all that great for todays standards :rolling:
