Mojave Desert race leaves 8 killed and 12 injured

What Raz said is true, seeing stuff like that can sit with you forever. I remember when I was 13 I saw a graphic video of an execution of a reporter in Iraq, still sits with me.

I love watching off road racing and rally racing. I'm glad I missed this one. I always hate how people stand on the track and run out of the way at the last second. You ever see this behavior? Rally racing is really really unpredictable, and the cars sometimes go off cliffs and flip. You won't catch me standing on the side of the road.

The BLM issued a statement saying safety was the responsibility of the race organizer, South El Monte-based Mojave Desert Racing. MDR's permit required racers to travel 15 mph or less when they were within 50 feet of fans, and allowed no more than 300 spectators for the event, the agency said.

Oh man, the truckers are definitely going like 50mph or more

Lawsuits will probably be filed

What the **** do you want that for?

You ask for videos of a person being bullied in another thread, now you want a video of the crash, I'm beginning to seriously ****ing wonder if you get some sort of ****ing stimulation or turn-on from other peoples misery!

Honestly, if you like watching tragic deaths and shit like that, which it seems you do, I recommend you go to Flashback, since you're Swedish, https://www.flashback.org/

It's basically one of those forums that claims to protect free speech by allowing everything except childporn(because when they did that they got the police after them), oughta be right up your ****ing alley.

^It's already kinda been discussed, thanks anyway.

I might add, I still haven't watched the video, don't intend to either.

I think it's necessary to at least once watch morbid videos to avoid similar situations. Like if I ever go to a rally race in the desert, I'll be sure to keep my ass back from the track.

Yeah, it's necessary for me to watch a person get his throat slit by Talibans so I can make sure to avoid Talibans slitting my throat in the future in case I ever go to Afghanistan...

Yep, sure as hell not taking any vacations to Afghanistan in the near future.

Terrible shit. Maybe people shouldn't... well... stand right next to the god damn track? Why do they do that anyway? Does it give you a rush? I mean, sooner or later you're going to get hit.

People used to stand on the track for the group B rallye cars. In a documentary I was watching one of the teams was saying sometimes they'd find fingers stuck in panels because people would try and reach out and touch the car.

But there was a clip from a more recent race where the driver was headed downhill into a hairpin, in the rain, and there was a crowd sitting right there at the bottom. The car spun off into the crowd then the driver had to speed off because the crowd was trying to attack him.

I mean who looks at one of the tightest corners in a race, at the bottom of a hill, while it's raining and goes, "honey set the chairs up right here! It's perfect!" Even worse is when something obvious does happen they get pissed off at somebody else.

I mean nascar doesn't have a 20ft high, multi million dollar, catch fence surrounding their tracks because racing is so safe. Derp derp. So I'm sorry, if you think standing on the track, right after a jump, is a bright idea you had whatever happens coming to you.

that really is a tragedy

We all know you wouldn't mind seeing some rednecks get killed, Stern.

I find myself strangely drawn to 9/11. I watch videos about it all the time and watch the skyscrapers falling etc. A terrible day which has changed us all forever, but a spectacle none the less. I don't derive pleasure, but I will always be curious about it, I will always want to see more footage, I always feel guilty for being drawn to videos of it.

One of the most attrocious things to ever happen, and it just fascinates me.

I would like to see the vid, I'm curious. Tragic deaths, but I cant not know how it happened.

I guess it's all about context because 9/11 led to the deaths for hundreds of thousands of iraqis yet 9/11 is the tragedy not the aftermath

I've no interest in the aftermath, just the event itself.

I mean shit man, planes into buildings. WTF?

I hope the kid doesn't die, one of the 12 in hospital is a child, his / her parents should be ashamed.
