I am for getting a new monitor in the next two days. I was considering and LCD screen. But would be very happy with a 19" CRT monitor. has anyone any advice on brand size price for both CRT's and LCD screen. Also my budget is £150 incl VAT, my intended uses are for Games "HL2 or course", CAD and word processing and some DVD's.
I have been doing some research and found E92f+SB 19" PerfectFlat CRT Monitor. from Dabs.com for £140.
Any suggestions

As long as they hit 1600X1200 at 60 (preferably 75Hz) then they should be good. I didnt have a lot of money so I got a Cicero (futureshop brand) monitor and I am really happy with it.

The E92f+SB 19" PerfectFlat CRT Monitor supports:
• 2048 x 1536 maximum resolution: Displays a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536; 1280 x 1024 at 88Hz flicker-free refresh rate for easy-on-the-eyes viewing.
2048 x 1536 @ 60Hz
1792 x 1344 @ 68Hz
1600 x 1200 @ 76Hz
1280 x 1024 @ 88Hz
I personaly find that 1280 x 1024 at 32bit colour is good enough for me, but for it to support 2048 x 1536 @ 60Hz suits me fine.
Any suggestion on other models for my proce range.

VIEWSONIC G90FB 19IN

Max res of 1600x1200 at 77Hz, which I consider flicker free.
Also it has a pretty good dot pitch. Im gonna buy this monitor in a week or two.

 for the advice. i priced the transport for the E92f+SB 19" Perfect Flat CRT Monitor as well as the monitor from both Dabs.com and overclockers.co.uk and dabs was fractionally cheaper! I have not bought with dabs so it might try them.
Thanks Matt i was not aware that overclockers. sold that model of monitor.
