My first model with 3Ds Max, just a simple knife. Haven't textured it yet.

Just some tips for next time you render something.

1) Make sure any type of Blur is off in both the properties and the in the render scene window (can't remember the exact name atm).

2) Change your filter from the default one in the renderer tab (might be in render options)

If nothing else checkout the help file to find some tips on sharpening up your renders.

The second render is much better. Is that for anything specific or just to learn modeling and all?

I made that to just learn modeling with 3ds Max. The knife was easy, just creating two boxes and moving the vertices to right places.

Now im trying to make a Glock 17, but I think that I don't handle the right way to model more detailed models. Any tips / tutorials are welcome (no videotutorials etc.)! I prefer webpages with some screenshots

I don't know anything about modeling, but just loook at the tutorials sticky , well i hope you make more wonderfull models in the future.
