It appears that more Bethesda games are coming onto Steam, namely Call of Cthulu, Morrowind: Game of the Year Edition and Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition. Interestingly the games are not appearing on the Steam Store, though they are available in press accounts.[br]You can see the Steam news popup here and a thread on the SPUF forums here about this. Wait and see, but they should be available soon.

Still NA only?

I love Call of Cthulhu.

Don't know yet Barnz, I assume it will be the same as Fallout 3

Have Bethesda announced a new title to the Elder Scrolls series yet?

Loved Morrowind, Oblivion was okay, just wasn't keen on the leveling system that came with it.

High five - I've wanted Dark Corners of the Earth for a long time. There is nothing quite like a bit of Lovecraftian horror to compliment Steam. Bethesda did not develop it, however - they simply published it. As far as I'm aware the company that made the game have since gone under. I don't image they will see any of the royalties, unfortunately: it will go straight into Bethesda's pocket.

I do believe Neale came very close to working on the game itself.

There was a lot of legal wrangling between the developer (Headfirst Studios) and publishers during the game's development. Plus they took somewhere in the region of 10 years to actually finish the game. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't end up working on it.

The game was awesome, but yes, sadly they went out of business. Was supposed to be a series of Lovecraftian horror titles :|

I've never completed it, because I can't figure out how. It might be a bug, as with other places in the game. But I didn't have to complete it to enjoy it though. Lots of awesome references to the writings of Lovecraft, superb atmosphere and nice story.

I'm of two minds on this. It is totally awesome that I'll soon be able to get Morrowind and Oblivion via Steam. But, some of my favourite mods and add-ons for the games require script extenders, and I worry that using those will no longer be possible if I hook up my licences to Steam.

I'll probably keep to the old, CD-munching versions of Morrowind and Oblivion, and probably TESV too when it comes out, since it's probably not very likely that Bethsoft will give mod developers a way to hook in to the engine like that any time soon (especially if they stick with their hacked-up version of Gamebryo).

holy crap, like all the mmos this weekend are on sale too! Conan is only $9.99 with a free month of service too. might want to check that game out if the servers are still up

Who in their right mind would buy Age of Conan over Steam? It's ****ing 30gb!

Unless you specifically get in touch with the developers of the application and supply them with a Steam version of the exe script extenders and the likes of MGE/OGE will not work.

Edit: holy crap I'll pass. maybe I'll just finally get Red Orchestra

It's not a matter of getting the extenders to work, it's a matter of not getting a Steam ban because the DRM thinks the extenders are an attack.

all the games are on the steam page now for Bethesda. might get the deluxed edition of Oblivion that comes with Morrowind when it drops to $9.99 someday. you know it'll happen in like 3 months...i can feel it
