custom maps are not legal to use... so I would assume the same for custom models/skins.. or am I missing something?

Uhhh... custom maps were "illegal" to use in Beta, because they wanted it to be a controlled test, which using "custom" anything would kind of defeat the purpose of a controlled test.

Now the game is released, you can use all the custom stuff you want.

Now the game is released, you can use all the custom stuff you want.

Well, plus the maps were made with the version of hammer from the illegal hl2 beta.. but that couldn't possibly have anything to do with it i suppose

Been using these all day, and they are gorgeous.

They look great but blur the skin and camo pants bit of the normal map a tad because pants and skin just does not have those rigid bumps, unless you have a rash or something.

not according to them.

I asked about it earlier, thats why I stated they were illegal apparently

CS skins are made legaly with public tools. Custom maps are made with leaked VALVE owned hammer.
Skins = allowed, maps = not allowed
