In terms of actual visible gore though, Manhunt doesn't do it. Sure, you get the horrendous violence of the brutal act, but no real entrails and other effluence or anything.
Violence: Yes.
Gore: No.
Gears of War blood doesn't even look like real blood, though. But still, it's not especially gory... The goriest parts are when you saw a guy in half.. Even then, blood splatters everywhere (on your screen) but doesn't stay anywhere.. No real good-looking puddles of blood, just 2 pieces of a guy, who isn't bleeding at all. GoW is not at all worthy enough to be called the goriest, there are WAY gorier games out there. Just because a game is fun, and has blood in it, does not mean it's the goriest.
So Quake, that had 3 pieces of meat when you gibbed someone, is gorier?ya you're totally right...
2 pieces of a guy lying on the ground isn't gory at all
:rolling:
care to give us an example of a "WAY gorier game"?
OMG RED PIXELS
lol
ROTT looks ridiculous! That's a bit too much for me, I prefer the pixels of Blood.
Didn't the game have parental lock like Duke Nukem? If so they could've just turned that on those sissies.
Edit - Oh yeah, did anyone mention Dead Rising yet? Some wickedly gory deaths in there. Oh, which brings up another factor - sound! It's always so much more satisfying when you have some great gory sound effects to go with your killing (gee I hope Jacko is reading this).
