I myself can hardly stand the sight of blood, yet in UT I always gib opponents, in MP2 I would play with ragdolls, in farcry I tried slicing a guy in half with a machine gun....
yet, in RL, I can't stand the sight of blood, the sound of breaking bones....even descriptions of having to crack a persons ribcage to get to the heat sickens me.
yeppers. I'm sooo desensatized.![]()

Pffff, its THE best seriesLoke said:Actually ShellShock is a 3'de person view game, which I think is good. Everyone play FPS now, could be fun to have a little variation.
Close Combat is in my opinion graphical. Very realistic battles and just a great series. No game that I’ve played has had any kind of non-patriotic feeling like this.
There have been some attempts at doing it in 3D and a bit more up and personal, but I've never liked any of them. Kind of fun that 2D still reigns supreme![]()
It wasnt gruesome at all. It never gave the feel of *WAR*... Excellent squad combat though, its still unbeaten.PXM5000 said:A great Realistic wargame was operation flashpoint, maybe not as gruesome as ShellShock: Nam '67, but definitly more realistic(as far as i can tell from the movie)

The only game I know of beside Close Combat that is capable of giving the *WAR* feel is Savage, oddly enough. What's even more odd is that its full MP. But its fight scenes are pure mayhem... No small 3 on 3 where you fight with automatic rifles. Here its mostly 10 on 10, in fastpaced and bloody hand to hand combat.
