Hi all,

first of all, let me say I'm pissed as Asus. My friend has an old computer with a ASUS CUV4X-C motherboard. He had a bad virus spell and I reformated it for him. When I went to ASUS website to download the drivers, I found that they did not have them (I found the motherboard all right, but the driver page was empty). I've been trying for the last week to somehow get in touch with ASUS (forums, etc), but my question as to the location of the drivers has been ignored.

So I hope somebody here can be of help and tell me if there are other places where old motherboard drivers can be found.

Thanks for any help.

Whats the Motherboard model?
Some important info you might want to give for help.
lol

Also, if for some reason their site dosent have any, then I doubt anyone else will.
Also, I take it by "motherboard drivers" you mean like chipset drivers and RAID drivers and all that jazz.

Also, why dosent he have the disk that comes with his motherboard that has all of that stuff?

My original post says it's the ASUS CUV4X-C model, I think that's as specific as I can be. And about the CD, it's a really old computer and it would be much easier to get it simply from the manufactures site, rather than hunt down the company that build the CD for my friend.

If you know the chipset then just go to that website to get them. That board uses a VIA chipset right?Just go there then. If it was a Nvidia chipset then you would go to nvidia.com.

I don't think I ever have gone to the motherboard site for drivers for the chipset. /shrug

Ok, as far as I can tell this specific motherboard uses the ASUS VIA Apollo Pro133A Chipset, but I'm having trouble finding the drivers for this chipset. As opposed to ASUS (member, not company), I never used chipset drivers. Do they include audio and so forth. I tried looking through the VIA website, but its really confusing.

PS: I'm coming of as a noob, but I swear I'm at least two levels above that.

Go to Via.com/tw
Click on Support and Drivers. Click on your OS. Choose Platform drivers first. Scroll down and I would get the Retro chipset VIA 4in1 drivers. They say they will work for any VIA chipsets.

Then you can go back to Support/Drivers and click on the Audio or whatever other drivers you want to download. Although the 4in1 drivers might include all of that.
