Motherboards for Athlon 3000+ Barton

I'm planning to buy an Athlon 3000+ Barton and a mobo for it. I don't know however what is important in mobos, what should I notice while choosing a mobo. I would appreciate some help with this.

And what is an ATA and SATA controller??

Yeah ASUS make fantastic quality mobos, important features will probably include 8x agp, ddr 400 support, gigabit LAN if thats your thing, nForce2 boards are also very good. Other good brands are MSI and Abit.
