i had a mouse, pretty good, but the botton started sticking and it would double click at random times, and not work at all at other random times. so i went out and bought a new optical mouse about 2 days ago, this thing sucks ASS. when i move it across the desk smoothly, on screen it goes smoothly then itll stop or jump a bit, and its impossible to play any ****ing games, and its hard to click on weblinks. anyone know what i can do to make it work? can anyone suggest a quality optical mouse i should buy? thanks.

I recommend this mighty mouse!

RAZER VIPER

The best mouse I have ever owned in my entire life! I love this mouse!

thank you, where do you think i could get this MX700? best buy? i want to find it cheap, im getting it tomorrow, i hate dealing with mice, its so ****ing annoying.

Please! Go with the Razer Viper. You will not be disappointed. It will be the last mouse you will ever own.

i made this post before i saw yours. let me ask a few questions. the thing that pisses me off about this mouse, is that one the wheel is hard to turn, i want one that is easy to turn, two it doesnt track right, when i move it around, the cursor lags behind a bit and also when i click the buttons they dont go right away either. does your mouse suffer any of these?

Hell no. I would almost qualify this mouse as perfect.

Ya know...I made a link to that Razer Viper a few posts up. You can read up on it there.

the viper is 1000 DPI, this thing is 1600

what do you think?
Yes. That is even better. It out-performs the Razer Viper, and it looks like it is very new. In fact, it isn't even out yet. Early November 2004 it ships. If you have the money, go with that. That is probably the best mouse I have seen, even over the Razer Viper. They are made by the same company, ya know? Which is good, too.
It is also a great choice for the price requested. $59.99.
The Razer Viper is $49.99.

yes, it is 10 dollars cheaper than mx700 and i THINK its better, what do you other guys think? i think im gonna go with this diamondback thing unless someone else has something to say about it

It is definitely better. It out-performs every mouse out there, even what Logitech has to offer, and is well-worth your money. Go get it man! :)

I heard those razers are not very ergonomical.
From their site...

• Sleek ergonomic ambidextrous profile - translucent exterior design • Ultra large nonslip buttons - Finger tip grip for accurate and precise targeting control • Nonslip side rails - performance grip design • Ultraslick teflon feet - zero accoustic feedback • Gold Plated Max-Conductive USB connector

I think they are very ergonomical. :)

Wraith, there is no contest. Go with the best!

ergonomic just means how it fits to your hand, that doesnt matter to me. what matters to me is performance.

the mouse i have right now is 800 dpi and i cant ****ing stand it

I don't know. I absolutely love my MX700. Its cordless, comfortable and feature loaded. It is alos 800 DPI, so it is deadly accurate in games as well. That is what I recommend. They also have the MX1000 that is 1000 DPI

Well...we'll let Wraith make up his mind after reading through this thread. Definitely though, the Razer Diamondback has all the Logitech mice beat in performance, style, comfortability, and price.

If you have to have the best mouse for performance then check out Logitechs new Lazer mouse.
They have come a long ways in improving resolution but they still use the same LEDs to get the image. Lazer is a way to improve the image or input for the mouse.

I still think the MX310 or MX500 is the best mouse for the money and of course the MX700 is one great wireless mouse too! I have one. ;)

i returned the mouse and got my 13 bucks back. im gonna just use a ball mouse until i get a new optical one.
