I'm not sure how many of you guys are into motorcycles, but I figure most people like to see old cars and motorcycles made to look new again.

I bought this bike in April this year for $600. It's a Honda CR125. Anyway, I'm almost done with it, so I thought I'd put up some before and after shots.

Here it is the day after I got it. It had a lot of rust, chipped paint, beat up plastic, and a worn out motor.

And here's what it looks like as of last night. It's rust free, has all new paint, new plastic, and a fresh motor.

It's been a really fun project, if a bit expensive. It feels good to have saved something from the scrap heap.

Thanks for checking it out!

All I can think is 'what would A-Bike say in this thread" whenever I see a thread about bikes.

CR500s are beasts just waiting to kill their rider.

Nice bike, looks kinda beefy for a 125 twofer, but I don't know shit about oldschool bikes.

EDIT: nvm didnt notice the high volume tank.

Thanks, guys!

how much did you spend total?

Close to $2K. I think it was worth it, though.

That's actually the standard volume fuel tank. Tanks that size were pretty typical until the late '90s. But yeah, they look pretty big by today's standards.
