Movie reviews

Shawshank Redemption, pretty sure it doesn't have any bad reviews but... wow it's good :) Saw it the other night, despite the prison theme and the morbid beatings and such, this is the most feel-good movie ever! :) Has me smilin every time!! Won't blow it for anyone, just see it! The acting is brilliant too.

EDIT - Saw it AGAIN the other night, third time

Shawshank is awsome , think everyone thinks that

Heat- Great movie , great actors , great story , great action. Robert Deniro , Al Pachino , Tom Siezemore , Val Kilmer. Thats alot of star power and the movie is really good , rent it or buy it , its worth it! (Check Amazon for a more detailed description though they tend to give small spoilers)

I really enjoyed the Pianist aswell :)

Another good movie worth checking out is City of God - top gangster flick \o/

Shawshank Redemption is great :) Check out Jacob's Ladder ........... my fave Tim Robbins film (just beating Shawshank - or does it :?)

As for Reloaded ......... it lacks all the tension of the previous movie, doesn't ask interesting questions (just plenty of 'simple, open ended, could have a 1000 solutions, lazy script' type ones)

Neo has become more boring than ever (a complete waste of what could have been an excellent role) and the zion parts were complete rubbish.

The Animatrix, however, was excellent. It adds depth to the Matrix world and poses far more relavent and interesting questions.

Animatrix>Reloaded :)

I like LOTR:TTT even better than the first. Gollum rules. The "What's Taters, Precious?" conversation will stick in my mind forever. *****

Pitch Black was good, I thought it was very imaginative. I've read the short story it was (extremely loosely) based upon. ****

Tank Girl. Don't know why it wasn't popular. I know it wasn't too true to the original comics, but it was such a funny movie, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Plus, the Rippers kicked ass (literally, in the film). *****
