now i know half life is going to be a MOVIE...BUT...

theyre just being very VERY pre-emptive, based on recent rumours. i'd be quite surprised if this film is picked up by any studios.

It is not going to be a movie. VALVe stated a movie was not in question due to the apparent storyline of Half-Life. They said the best way for the story to be told was through the player's eyes in a videogame.

it hasnt, there are just rumours. some studios are probably interested in buying the movie rights, thats all. kinda like how every comic superhero thats ever been drawn has had its rights bought by the film studios, even if they never intend on making films about them.

Valve have had loads of offers but they haven't seen one that's gonna do the series justice yet. Once this happens, there will be a movie. Until that happens - there is no movie.

I don't think there's a good way to go about casting a silent protagonist. Someone's screaming at Gordan and he just kinda stares blankly at them like in the PHL flash vid.

Edit: Wow.. Just thinking about it.. What if it was the blockbuster of the summer? That would be amazing. HL would gain so many fans.. Everyone would realize its glory!
