Movies where the bad guys win

Good movie, I'd highly recommend it.

Quality movie. That is the best example of a bad guy winning I can think of. It just totally turns the table on the good guy.

Don't read this if you wanna see it:
It's been a while and I forget his name...but Kurt Russel (he's the lead right?) teaches an anti-terrorism class at some university and he thinks terrorists move next door (sounds like the making of a really bad movie...but stick with me). It ends up that the terrorists blow him up and a whole ton of other people and it's all pinned on him. Bad guys get away scott free and good guy goes down for it

The Perfect Storm.

Dr. Strangelove (although someone else already said it, I really love this movie)

Bugsy

Carlito's way

The China Syndrome

A Dry White Season

Deep Impact (big BADABOOM)

Day after Tomorrow

The Man who would be King

Gardens of Stone

And last but not least, Braveheart.

And whoever said 2001: a Space Odissey is wrong, b/c the good guy wins in the end, although it's kinda hard to get it. sorta like Matrix: Revolutions)

The Passion of the Christ...................what?

Noo, damn you all and your "The Thing" spoilers, and damn my own curiosity. I have that game and have yet to complete it!

John Travolta didn't play the bad guy in Swordfish, he was more of a 'not a very nice guy that wanted to save America from terrorists by blowing them up before they blow everyone else up' kind of guy.

I just wish a bad guy would win in a Bond movie, it is about time that Pierce Brosnan got killed off.

wrong? so who were the good guys in 2001? was it Bowman and his fellow crewmembers? was it HAL? was it the 'myseterious unknown race'? you can't say whether it's right or wrong, which i why i added a '?' to the end of it. it's open to debate, but 2001 was directed primarily for you to project your own ideas onto it rather than have the director shove it down your throat.

Hal wasn't bad, it was more a case of the people who programmed Hal that were bad.

If you move every letter in the word/name HAL one step up in the alphabet then it says: IBM! OH MY GOD!!!!! AAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHH!!!!!

Swordfish is kinda weird... I personally would say Gabriel is a bad guy. And he wins. At least one time. There are alternate endings on the DVD :D

Important question he asks Stan: Would you kill one little girl to save thousands of cancer-patients? Stanley says no, but there isn't a definite answer to that, there has never been. Perhaps that's the message?

Kill Bill...

...she was an assassin after all.

Good call - excellent film. Very dark, really (the ending that is)

But all this Lock, Stock... Kill Bill, etc. They were anti-heroes and quite lovable really (I know I really liked all the guys in Lock Stock, and The Bride did have some vaguely "honorable" quest, and she had given up being an assassin, after all) - so it is pretty much a happy ending...

The Bride isnt a bad guy... she's a tough good guy :D

the bride is only after revenge, the real bad guys are the ones shes after. the bride was the victim

The Bride was also an assassin, i am sure the people she murdered in cold blood didn't find her quest honourable :).

Never thought of the Lock Stock guys as anti heros...just not very smart people.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre and also various nightmare on elm street movies...

I always love to see the bad guy/s wins................:)

I suppose you could call the storm a bad guy...but I wouldn't. The good guys certainly lose..to nature..which is neutral.

Predator, maybe.. It's just that the bad guy doesn't lose.

that movie about Nicholas the II and Russia... the commies take over (and alex karensky is a meanie to Nick" and Gregory Rasputin gets murdered! w00t

but most of that movie is real historical fact :frog:

There weren't really any good guys and bad guys in 2001, there were characters that did bad things but none of them were really bad, plus no one really wins in the end.

OT but has anyone seen the movie sequel or read the book? Its 2010 and HAL is revived! And he is back to normal! \o/

I'd say Predator was a sore loser, he did activate his self-destruct device when he felt his end was near :E

Its not a real movie, but i hope its okay :D

The ending of Saikano (Anime) is really sad, and you can say that the bad guys won.

You can read this in the ending of episode 10 (of 13) from the subgroup:

"A friendly warning from the team: This is the end of happiness in Saikano. If you would prefer the anime to have a happy end, consider stopping here and pretending there are no more episodes. Continuing will only bring misery and pain. You have been warned..."

One of the two main characters was forced to fight (since shes a weapon the military use) in the war (when i came to their town), cant really remember but it all ended with the world being destroyed. She used all her last powers to make him live as the last living person, but only through his mind/fanatsy. She died too (like the rest of the world), but she lived on in his memories.

Really awesome series if you ask me. Very sad though :/

See it!
