I just wanted to point out an interesting article for americans and canadians alike on CNN.com.
Near the end, it is mentioned that 'On the other hand, it's cold. The baseball's not very good'. I'd like to say that it might be cold during the winter, but it's always very warm during the summer and plus we never have any hurricanes/tropical storms or earthquakes. Furthermore, we might not have much professional baseball or basketball (toronto only) but we've got our own professional football league and hockey- kinda like football on ice.
