Anyone else getting frequent unexplainable Don't Send Error reports and abnormally slow browsing speeds?!

I sure am, is there a notable fix?

Edit:// Scanning with NAV08 and Adaware now.
HOLY SHIT MY TASK BAR JUST DIED, I must have a virus. Unless Adaware did it.!?!?!?!?

You mean Firefox, yes?

And yeah, I get them frequently whatever version I use.

No, not getting these issues with Firefox. Make sure your machine is fully up to date. You may also want to try starting Firefox in safe mode and/or deleting your profile and creating a new one. Just be sure to backup your bookmarks first.

i havent had any problems on the latest firefox(not beta)

I have not had any issues with the FF3 betas. In FF2, flash would sometimes cause mine to crash. Or maybe it was sun's java. idk

OK, I've found out that my computer is affected. Today I got a pop up, but it masked itself in a tab on firefox. I also got this intrusion attempt simultaneously:

Firefox has these errors: Slow Browse speed
Tabs often lock up, disable all activity and only allowing to close them.
Freezing and giving me a don't send error report.

I'll reinstall Firefox after I post this.

I've decided to reformat and install vista in the process.

If you don't hear from me in a month, send Link.

I've had my XP installed for a long, long time. I've had dozens of hidden trojans detected by AVG free antivirus.

Main thing is to have a good firewall and a good Anti-virus program. Because once they are installed, well, they do things like hide in your recovery and make it so that you roll back it re-installs the backdoor.

When it comes to firewalls, Sunbelt has a good free version, as well as Zone Alarm.

These 3 that I've mentioned are some of the best rated ones, and they have free versions. I don't know if they have Vista versions, but they should.

Also, install Spybot S&D Resident

I see you have norton. We don't like Norton. The free version of norton is worse than useless IMO.

I'm not sure If you need to re-install, but yes, that should get 99% of anything. Some vicious ones out there that hide on the end sectors of your HDD though, and I'm not sure if formating will get it. I wouldn't worry about that though. LIke I said, if you have a good anti-virus and good firewall, the damn thing will never get installed.

I reinstalled and it's fine.

Yep.

This time it was one of the minor crashes, where all I have to do is drag the window down so it doesn't cover my screen. Other times it just quits with no warning, or stops responding.

Started getting those crashes about 2 weeks ago, be it FF2 or FF3 beta.
