mp3 ---> wav?

Does anyone know of any programs that can convert an mp3 file into a wav file?

I'm no expert on the subject but I've used this before and it worked fine for me, and it has many other conversion options as well in case you use other formats. By the way if you are asking this because you want to burn an audio cd most (if not all) cd writing software will do it for you automatically.

I can recommend both CDex and QCD, both linked earlier. CDex is a very good cd ripping app that also supports wav->mp3 and mp3->wav converting. QCD is a great audio player (much better than winamp) that you can also use to convert simply by selecting the mp3 in the playlist, right clicking and selecting the convert to wav option.

Umm... Winamp can convert MP3 to WAV. I don't know where to find the feature though but I know it's in there.

personally i like goldwave. I don't know if any of those other progs have it, but goldwave has a batch convert feature.

I also use goldwave for most of my audio editing.
