Mr Cruise's Bugatti Veyron.

...people make fun of it for happening. But we've all been trapped outside a car because we kept trying to open the doorhandle right as somebody tried to unlock the car.

shit happens. Tom cruise knows how to operate a door handle, and he knows how to operate a key fob. My 6yr old cousin can do it.

yet still, because he's tom cruise, everybody is going to laugh at him and say 'omg he totally doesn't deserve that nice of a car if he can't even open the door!' ....get over it.

I prefer when tom cruise makes an ass of himself by opening his mouth ..he's truely insane

I can't believe Tom would let someone else drive that Veyron...Those things aren't exactly "cheap."

Nah, they're mass-produced... but on an extremely small scale. And for a reason- one of them will set you back well over a mil.

1.5 million dollars actually. They are buillding 400 of them. Bugatti is now working on a 1000 HP Sedan.

well, £800,000 for us british :D . Although in dollars thats well over a million
I doubt they mass produce them...they lose roughly £4,000,000 on each car

Jeesh, Koenigseggs are just as fast and they cost 480,000 half that price

Actually i don't think we know that yet and until Bugatti allow 'the Stig' to take one round the Top Gear track, we won't know for sure.......but imo the Veyron would beat the Koenigsegg (at least until they add a rear wing to sort out the rear traction).

Your right, I should of said Koenigseggs are potentially just as fast.

Who the hell buys a car worth over a million dollars? I can't even see the need for a house over a million dollars. Even if you have more money than god, it seems pointless.

...and?
Why win the lottery?

So you can secure a safe future monetary wise, not to buy expensive things.

If i was damn rich i'd always want something custom and unique rather than a car everyone knows about.

I think its £840,000 because it IS fairly unique :p But I digress

Raziaar, so your saying the only incentive to winning the lottery is security? You dont think at least a little bit of the human show-off-iness syndrome gets its say at all?

I just think its stupid to squander wealth, thats all. And even for rich celebrities, I think they could spend their money more wisely.

This is coming from a guy who makes next to nothing. Currently, nothing.

If I had the money, I would buy that car, its my favourite car, and it was designed and made in France.

I'd buy one if i could. And yea there are cars that have a higher top speed, but its acceleration is ungodly.

AWD quad turbo w-16, produced by volkswagen actually ;)

edit: me = pwned.

You do realise that that test was fictional, don't you?

I'm sorry but this is the world's fasters production car.
Top Speed : 406 KM/h
0-100 (62) : 2.5 secs

And it has been tested many times in Nuremberg and car mags and they all have reached the 400kHm Speed. It actually goes faster (controlled speed) Bugatti said that their fastest speed was 415 Km/H

Give it 10 years and you'll pick one of those up for 100k, the depreciation on those must be just...crazy

Although it is fast, it would be even cooler to drive there in an Ariel Atom :)

Doubtful its like as "mass produced" as the Enzo was.
