Yep ok so the virus is going around, its effected over 200,000 computers and i have a question. I play cs on steam with pings around 30-80 and sometimes it lags just because. But when surfing the web, its so damn slow that some pages wont even load, but for some reason now its faster. Well i was wondering if this is happening to anyone else? im also not infected with the virus but i went to microsoft's webpage to download the update but im not sure which one to get, it says 32-bit or 64-bit...here take a look and please help me out!

W32.Blaster.Worm

There was a new removal tool on symantec's site but it still hasn't fixed my norton.

I paniced the first day i had the virus, so i reinstalled windows which was a huge mistake.

Now that i've reinstalled and downloaded microsoft's fix, My norton does not start anymore. It gives me an error saying that i have to reinstall but i've done that like 5 times... what is going on??

To be honest if you don't know which one then it's almost certainly 32-bit . 64-bit OSs are for taking advantage of a 64-bit processors like Intels Xeon & AMDs Opteron, those are really only sold as server processors at the moment but AMD are coming out with a desktop version soon.

As for the second attack, it's not an attack on us, its an DOS attack on microsoft using already infected systems.

Why do people hack/crack/make viruses? Im getting sick of it. They're the cause of why the internet is becomming more "unsafe"
