Been playing on some of the new maps, and I must say I am enjoying myself immensely!

I started off kind of rocky, but i've gotten some 'impressive' kills... my kill to death ratio with anti tank is 9/2, and my helicopter is 49/7

I'm just dominating the battlefield at times, and its great fun! I only wish I had a supremely talented helicopter gunner, because if I did we could have taken out so many tanks.

Already got a few medals, too! Woot!
 
I'm seeing a distinct lack of screenshots. This shall be amended, yes?

Well, I was playing on the official EA 32 player servers(no official 64 player that I saw, yet). The latest screens you just saw I just made a server for my own to mess around with to look at the dam map.

These screenshots are just showing my medals, and the score pages in the game. I love how it tracks just about everything! This stuff will be awesome to look at a few months down the line :)

Performance is the exact same. Some maps, I would say a bit more choppy.

Thats because the Devs packed each map FULL of details. They're everywhere!

Just got out of a game with hl2.net members in the demo. yes, I have the full version, but I wanted to play with my buddies! They don't have the FV, so I played demo with em :) Can't wait until we're all tackling new maps.

that being said, good game... excellent anti-Tank support bud, armor was but a mere annoyance with you around. (instead of instant death)

anywhoo, yeah got the call from Gamestop saying the game will be available for pickup tomorrow.

Sweet... and to be most effective, a second anti tanker would be preferred... but oh well. It takes a few rounds even in the direct top(about 3 if its not hurt), to take a tank out. Trust me, I was in a map that I was waaaay up and was shooting tanks in the exact top of their turret. Heh.
 
Still deciding if I want to deal out 50 dollars for this, I wish it had better singleplayer.

Singleplayer in a game like this, is just like multiplayer but with bots. Its lame... why play with bots, when you can play with players? This isnt the type of game that's going to be like brothers in arms, or medal of honor that has whole campaigns and stuff. Its meant to be like a big giant sandbox when we were kids, playing around with tanks and soldiers and planes... only that they are 3d modelled and represented by actual players. Not an unrealistic... limited field of movement game like those 'linear' first person shooters that have you going through predefined corridors.

You'll learn. You won't be constantly ass-raped. Thats because chances are, you'll be on our team! If you're lucky that is... and we'll provide an umbrella of relative protection <chuckles>

Pfft, CptStern will make a very good meat shield.

One question, do medic healings stack? Cause if they do, we could have like, one specops, one anti tank, support, and three medics behind them, making them invincible. :naughty:



But it probably doesn't.
 
Damn... there's this one map, that is absolutely, FREAKING HUGE It's like El Alamein, but bigger I think, and SUPER SUPER awesome looking, because its mountaneous with a huge chasm river going through it, with tons of bridges, dams, and thousands upon thousands of pine trees. Really, when you see it, you'll be blown away, i'm sure :)
 
Which map? I still havnt played them all- Oh yea guys i got the game too :D ask me questions :O

If i'm bored to death with the demo right now, do you think when I get it in 12-13 hours my love for it will be revived?
 
Is there as much spawn camping on the other maps as there is in gulf_of_oman? Because that seriously killed the demo for me.

Must not be. If you are bored of the demo the full version isnt going to make you interested but for a little whie (new side, new maps, vehicles, weapons, etc).

Heh, I put all my differences with people on these forums aside when I play this game. Some of my favorite people who play this game are probably vehemently against me when it comes to other areas of these forums, but we get along great in game :)

Nah BF2 is meant for everybody regardless of which talking head you like. Gitmo goes out the door when I'm fighting for my life and have to rely on sterns sexiness to bail me out.
