Perhaps we are also blind to the fact Nemesis's post was right on the money.
I'm suprised to see that no one here has brought this up.
D:In general, say 55 percent of those polled, every word of the Bible is literally accurate. [...] Sixty-two percent say they favor teaching creation science in addition to evolution in public schools; 26 percent oppose such teaching, the poll shows. Forty-three percent favor teaching creation science instead of evolution in public schools; 40 percent oppose the idea.

I dont understand how he can have a job ..arent journalists suppossed to be impartial? he wouldnt have a job in my neck of the woods
plus I cant really believe he's that stupid ..he had to have asked him if he's a traitor for ratings/cozy up to ignorant joe-sixpack ..no one is that incredibly stupid
he reminds me of Nancy Grace who's just as big an idiot if not moreso
No, that really isn't what he's saying at all. He was asking that the Qu'ran be used for his swearing in. Well done for re-interpreting/twisting the request of a rational Muslim into the fiersome demands of a stereotyped extremist.Thats what you guys are missing. He was'nt personally saying he'd rather use the Quran for himself, but instead, everyone for the swearing in. The people's country. I'm against any religious swearing in.
Right on, brother. Or something.****ing conservatives.
There should be no "holy book" whatsoever in the chamber, and nobody in government should be sworn on any religious icon whatsoever. What bothers me here is that they require a swearing in at all.
But, if it must happen, then let every congressman have his own damn holy book, and allow all books to be used. In fact, why not swear people in on the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster? I would be equally as rediculous, equally idiotic as swearing in on the bible, the quaran or any other holy book.
But Ellison said in Dearborn that Muslims can help teach America about justice and equal protection, suggesting that Muslim activists may be part of God’s plan. He spoke at the annual convention of two Muslim groups, the Muslim American Society [allied with the Muslim Brotherhood. —ed.] and the Islamic Circle of North America [allied with the Islamic militant movement of Jamaat-e-Islamiya in Pakistan and Bangladesh. —ed.]. The convention ended Monday morning.
“Muslims, you’re up to bat right now...” he said. “How do you know that you were not brought right here to this place to learn how to make this world better? How do you know that Allah, sallalahu aleyhi wasallam,” (meaning peace be upon him) “did not bring you here so that you could understand how to teach people what tolerance was, what justice was?... How do you know that you’re not here to teach this country?”
The convention, which ends today, drew more than 3,000 Muslims from across the country for an event aimed at revival and reform. It featured workshops and panels on a range of topics from civil rights to politics to how to spread Islam in the U.S. ...
yes because there's no shortage of nutjobs who've held office:

- Marvin Olasky, advisor to GW Bush
"For the first time ever, everything is in place for the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Christ. It can't be too long now.
