Must-have DS games?

Picked up a 3DS from work today with my discount, any vital games I missed out on for reg. DS? Any tips would be helpful, I like most all game types except puzzle-heavy and strategy types.

Rhythm Heaven, Contra 4, Retro Game Challenge, Mario Kart, Chrono Trigger, Picross and any Advance Wars. Those are my favorites.

New Super Mario Bros., Professor Layton and the Final Fantasy IV remake were probably my favourites.

Aliens: Infestation, I finished it recently, very fun Metroidvania-like game made by the same developers that did Contra 4 for the DS.

Meteos and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I've chosen to ignore what you said about puzzle and strategy games because meh. Both games are seriously wikkles.

Puzzle games are a lot more fun than you probably expect them to be, especially DS ones.

On that note I recommend 999, if you can stand wordsWORDSWORDSWORDSWORDS.

At least it has likableish characters.
