Apparently Activision are intending to screw Europe over on the games pricing again. Remember when CoD4 came out on Steam and they tried to charge Europe $20 more it? Seems this time they are hiking the retail price by 33%. Good luck with that Activision

They charged Aussies 88USD. The game retailed in Stores for 80AUD. So the steam version was easily costing $20 more.

Price increase for UK territories only? Pfft fuk ActiBlizz. Hope it won't spread to further EU areas. Also development costs? What, they are using the same fukin COD4 engine.

Anyway shop around online and it should be cheap.

$149 from Amazon. No way those night vision goggles are real. Goggles are over $250 alone.

EyeClops NVGs

Completely rubbish of course. No sterioscopic vision, gen 1 or worse and they're active rather than passive, so you'll show up as a great big "I'm over here" light using them to anyone else with a similar system.

Basically the "night mode" off a video camera that feeds onto a tiny screen in front of the users eye with a bunch of IR LEDs to provide illumination. They're real in the sense that they'll give you about 10 meters of vision in total darkness but certainly not military (or even hunting) grade equipment.

I imagine the little kids that will go "woah" whit this "I am going to be rambo" thing

btw hunters use nightvision?

Hunting stopped being an honourable sport and became a slaughterfest one, two centuries ago.

Sometimes, but the cost is so high for night vision equipment actually worth using the high powered hunting lamp is still king. Which has the added advantage of its super expensive systems getting burned out if accidentally exposed to sunlight.

No shit Michael. Still good to hear some industry dude call them out publicly on this.

why not go whit just a bow and a arrow? our ancestors did and they didnt seem to have trouble

Depends what you're hunting, what time of day you're hunting and if you have years upon years of experience using a bow. Firearms are much easier to use, more accurate and more likley to deliver a clean kill. Is it not kinder to the animal to use every advantage possible to ensure that thier death is as swift and painless as possible?

As for hunting lamps, because it allows one to see things much more easily, which is useful when hunting at night, espesically with a red filter so rabbits have difficulty seeing it.

I would also point out that I am writing from the point of view of pest control, not hunting for sport. Primarily targeting pigeons and rabbits, which are two of the major pests in the UK (that are not restricted owing to the fact they are classified as vermin, others, like brent geese are not allowed to be killed)
