looks good, but in the 2nd render, wats the line down both of the grips, looks like a little smoothin error looking for attention :naughty:. aniways, looks good.

pretty pretty for a first model...

although I wouldn't advise Photo texture mapping, unless the image is highly edited, as it removes from the quality of the actual model...

anywho, looks nice, a poly count and a wireframe would be nice, pretty please

ya, your skins look like a photo that has just been slapped on the model...a render without the skin, a wireframe, and a render with a real skin on it would be nice...good job from what I can see, but you need a real skin.

Is this your first model this week, or your first model for HL2, or your first model ever? If it really is the latter, then you would appear to be a natural, well done.

The skin is particularly good in any case!

the model is a bit crap as well as the skin. U can tell u have just got a picture of a gun cut it up really badly and stuck it on. There are some dodge light problems on the hand grip, also the model looks very basiuc and not really using hl2 very well.

He did say it was his first model, and I don't think that its for a mod.

tbh I don't think it matters how long anyone has been modelling. Its good for a first atempt but at the end of the day I never said it was bad for his first model. I just said its bad in general. Meaning no matter who made it. Its still bad.

Right It is my first model (ever) Iv only been using 3ds for about a week so i know its not the best but hopefully i will get better with time.
