Yup, im going crazy waiting for hl2. So once they either release it on the 30th, or delay it, come that time im gonna be like "screw this" and totally not care anymore. Im pretty much ready to say that now cause the aggrevation isnt worth it. I dont know why valve wont just say that the damn game is or isnt delayed cause if people are building themselves to release and realise that the game is delayed, then the interest level on forums and the word of mouth will die down quite a bit. Realising that you have to wait another month after reaching your zenith of anticiaption isnt fun at all.

i think people should just flat out assume that the game has been delayed. thats what ive done. because if it does get delayed, you wont be horribly crushed by the news, like some people will be at this forum. but if it does come out on time, you'll definately be pleasantly suprised.

I'm already to that point. I don't even think I'll be more than mildly disappointed if they announce a delay. I pretty much expect it to not come out next tuesday. My hope finally gave out last night. In the least, I'll just get Halo PC next tuesday.

Woof! I think everyone needs a good stiff drink! Yes, the anticipation is a killer. And I admit that one of the first things I've done each day for better than 3 weeks is to check the "News" forums for SOME indication either way....but....I prefer to think of it this way to keep sanity brewing:
If it is delayed, then when released it will be a FINISHED product...not something rushed to gold because of time constraints.

If the 9800XT is to be coming out the 30th with HL2 bundled, that would mean they would have to send out the card without HL2 if it got delayed. I'm sure VALVe would not have given the go ahead to ATi to say its going to be bundled with HL2 on the 30th if they weren't sure they'd make the date. I'm sure the game will go gold about Friday until then calm down.

thats merely a showing off the card type function.

it wont be buyable for a few weeks after it.
