I know this isn't CG art, and i appologise for the crap quality, but they're quite big and i had to use my web cam. But it will give u a rough idea until i get a good quality Digi cam.

First picture is unfinished. As you can see from the wings :)

Another picture.

wish i could see them clearer, but what I can see looks _very_ good, nice one :) Painted or pencil or charcoal? Got any others?

Accrylic paint.

They're the only two i've done, apart from a big huge one i did for an A-level a few years ago. But thats at my parents house...

yeah thats one problem with doing them large scale (I prefer them big too) you can quickly run out of places to put them :D

Do you work on board or canvas? I've always had a preference to boards, cheaper and less hassle I find, especially when your doing larger scale work, and easier to just scrap a painting and start from scratch painting over it, also cause I use airbrushes a lot the result looks better on wood than they do canvas or other kinds of materials I think, and easier to clean mistakes if the airbrush chokes and spits (which they always do when you don't want them to right :)) The kind I use is just your regular hardboard sheets from places like Wicks or B&Q, one side smooth the other a little like burlap. Useful again for variation.

I use canvas boards. The texture of canvas, but not easily damaged like the real thing. Plus, you can just paint over crap work too like a normal board.

edit: Actually, the second picture i showed is painted on the base of a drawer. You know the crappy thin base? Heh... i'm so innovative, lol. I was obviously feeling poor when i started that.

heheh worst place I've painted something was on a wall of the apartment I was at, I moved a few days later so I don't know why I did it :) will have freaked out the people who moved in after though, 1) it was biomechanical 2) I didn't have any acrylic handy and mixed for the airbrush, so used the proper airbrush ink (I normally don't, don't like the sheen it gives).. and that stuff is lethal if you want to paint over it with conventional paint later, cause it just keeps showing through hahaha, its also known to gradually bleed through certain kinds of wallpaper too. So yeah, I bet they hate me now ;) I also did one on the door too, and that was a mix of acrylic, ink, oil pastels, chalk, you name it I used it lol.

I can just imagine a little old lady living there now, staring at this rather disturbing "erotomechanic" door image and an unblinking eye on the wall :cheese: poor old dear :)

lol.... your image slowely appearing through the paint/wallpaper over a period of about twelve months sounds cool. At first people would be like "That stain looks a little weird on the wall", then they'd look again "It's getting spooky"....

They would eventually go mad thinking that images were forming in their head after starring at the "stain" on the wall for too long.

heh heh

edit: w00t i just made prowler

lol yep.. I half expect it to one day turn up on LivingTV's ghost programs about this mysterious image that keeps appearing, and that totally fake medium guy coming up with a load of rubbish about it being some dead person who used to live there :D

Now we know what starts those ghost stories off about blood and marks appearing out of the walls for no reason. Its not supernatural, its just artists too lazy to buy proper painting materials :cheese:

congrats on becoming a prowler.. has anyone worked out what one of those are yet? I've seen the concept image of it to the left in the characters section i think it was, but thats all.

I thought a prowler was like a kick ass combine or something...

Woohoo, i'm better than a combine, lol

Heh, and good luck on being on TV... it'll certainly be a stronger case than what's on most of them programs. I saw one the other day where they were trying to say some floating dust in a room was a spirit... uh huh.. yeah... right. Congrats on having a camera that can pick up dust when you zoom in really cose so it gets all grainy. Morons...

haha. I remember one like that, it was that floating ghost thing that ended up proven to be only a leaf. But then they made a big deal about something in the corner of the picture, how its unexplained etc... Its'a damn garden spider! farcrying out loud lol, its really obvious what it is too, you can even seen the silk on its web wobbling as it moves across it, and even its legs, while blurry are quite clear. Mad I tells ya.

Oh and no I wouldn't be admitting anything and going on TV about it, I'd end up on some lame local news program like Calander or Look North, no thanks, I'm too proud to sink THAT low :D.... if you'd seen either you'd know exactly why I'm so against it.. it would seriously harm my career.. and be incredibly embarrasing to boot ;)
