My dad wants to play HL2

Would it be possible for me to let my dad put HL2 on his pc? (We are on the same internet connection, mine spoofs off his) Or would steam consider that as hacking or whatever and i'd be forced to buy hl2 again for him? If not it doesn't matter i'll just let him use my PC, but i'd prefer not.

I don't understand why this is a problem. If you are playing online with your steam account, surely his dad can play HL2 in offline mode, then the online steam network doesn't know if hes logged in or not either way surely?
