I have an Athlon 64 3000+. It's great.

The chip you linked to is a DTR (Desktop Replacement) for Laptops.
You want this chip or this chip.

Wow, thats a budget chip for you? I had to work my ass off to get a 3000+ with a K8N Neo, I'm still recovering financially. I hope I can afford beer this weekend.

1MB L2 cache is a good increase in performance but Clock Speed is more important. For example,
3000+ (2GHz 512KB L2 cache) vs 3200+ (2GHz 1MB L2 cache): the 3200+ will be better.
3200+ (2.2GHz 512KB L2 cache) vs 3200+ (2GHz 1MB L2 cache): the first 3200+ has a faster clock and will be a little quicker but not by a lot.

DTR chips don't work most desktop motherboards.

Is the 200mhz clock speed really gonna make a big difference? Cause my friend wants to get a new computer, I told him to pick the parts and build it himself, he told me he will spend around $1000. I'm helping him pick the parts, I chose the 64 3000+ but is it really worth the price to get a 2.2ghz instead of 2.0ghz? Although it's probably a bigger difference than just 200mhz as Athlons do more work per clock cycle.

It isn't that big of a difference as your 3000+ will run everything great, just like mine.
It's a bigger difference than 1MB L2 cache though and that's what you asked before. ;)

Yeah that's what I thought, didn't look worth it. Unfortunately it won't be my 3000+, I'm gonna have to stick with Pentium 4 for now.
