So I went over to my cousin's place today to give him a bag of dog food our dog doesn't care for, and he told me he's had GTA IV for like a month now. (WTF?! and we live right next door!) I walked into his den, and he was talking about something, which I don't even remember what it was due to some kind of brief 'tunnel syndrome' which made me focus on nothing but the TV screen as he was poppping in GTA IV, and it was everything I hoped it to be! Lucky enough that I even had a chance to ever see it before boot camp, but to make matters even more sweet, he offered to let me borrow his 360 along with GTA IV for a month or two before I leave! *Doctors rubbing together a set of defibilators: CLEAR!!! Bzzzt!*
So, just before I left that evening, we both was all tired and shit and I really had nothing to say to him. He was lending me his 360 and all, so it was really awkward:
1st cousin:"So, next week or so I'll let you borrow my 360, since I'm kinda bored with it anyways. Just give me time to finish up Assassin's Creed OK?"
Me:"Uhh, yeah. Well, see you later"
1st cousin:"Yeah, later"
Me: "Uhh, right"
I guess I was shocked I'd ever even get to see GTA IV at all, let alone borrow it for a month or two. :O
My first impression of GTA IV is good though, Maybe my flame for gaming has once again been re-kindled?
For like five years now, I actually had a life, became much more active, graduated trade school, lost like 40 lbs., and made some new friends as well as visiting old ones, all because I got bored to death of games. Most of the new stuff to me just plain sucked. (...and I still think that way about most of it)
