As far as I can remember, this is my first life drawing, at least in a few years :P. I found it's hard (and as you can see the quality is really sketchy) but you get much better proportions than drawing from imagination.

You can comment on how bad the line and sketchiness is, but I'd rather hear about proportions and such because I'm aware of how sketchy it is :).

Note: He does have an underbite :), it's not a mistake.

The facial porportions are pretty good, its got a gritty unfinished feel/look to it(thou most sketches do :P) i like

Not bad, not bad at all. Like Aeudidar said, the gritty unfinished look adds to it. Nice ;)

I should add that he himself (the model for my drawing) is probably the most talented artist I have ever seen. I always go to him when I need help. Yet he never draws! Ever! Only when he really feels like it or has too.

He looks bare without his hair. The proportions are really good, but you should try it without the hood, it's much more challenging. I always find hair so hard to get right, you can't get the light and stuff right :(

Oh gawd I know what you mean. We are doing self-portraits in art right now. Just getting it to look kinda like yourself is hard. But I got the basic proportions mapped out, so im good now. :D

But nice pic TheSomeone. You should trace over it and then add more detail to the traced one and add more shading. You should do that on the traced one because the current one looks fine how it is now. :)
