My friend is a WoW whore.

My friend's little brother plays, ALOT.

It's actually pretty entertaining. Whenever i'm in a bad mood, I know I can just walk into his room, and lay on his bed, a dim shadow of his figure highlighting the bed, whilst the soft and soothing glow of his mac illuminates his comforting figure.

that sounded really gay. and then you go on to mention penis'.

My friend plays it constantly, he used to be a great source for talking about good games but now he just tells me about WoW. I really hate that game.

TBC killed it for me. I still play, but im a gimped Enh shammy. Our former glory days are far over. T_T

I played for a little while, back when it was still smallish. I bought it like the first month it came out.
I remember, I first joined because I wanted to be a Night Elf DEMON HUNTER
LIKE ILLIDAN
WTF HAPPENED TO THAT?
>: (
Got bored, went back to SWG. Till they killed it.
Damn, SWG was soooo fun.

I have never played WoW, nor do I intend to in the future. It looks terrible.

I used to play it...a lot. I had a 60 rogue back in the days before the expansion and did a good deal of raiding. I was always more into PVP and did that a lot, but our server blew chunks and no one ever played PVP. Once the xpansion came out I made a paladin and got him to 70 and did a shit ton of arena/PVP and a good amount of raiding. I almost miss that game, but I know I would lose my social life if I got involved again.

yes! i have 3 friends all trying to get me to start playing wow. i've refused knowing that if i ever touch the game i no doubt will get addicted to it as i do with most games i play that never seem to end with the amount you can do in game.
my friends have even gone so far as to share their account with me so i can play :S
i pity them

I've played it twice, each a period of ten days. I don't see the draw that nine million people have to it. I really don't.
Contrary to what Blizz says, the game is boring as hell before level 40, which few newcomers hit during the trial.

Yes I play, at will. Not addicted at all, and it's weird to me how people can become so addicted to it.

It's a willpower thing I guess... Some people can become easily addicted to things. Thrown in a game that's designed to be a bit addicting and sure enough, there will be people addicted to it.

I played WoW for like 4 months or so, made it to rank 10 in the old battlegrounds system with my lvl 60 undead mage. It was awesome, PvP in the game was pretty fun (combat-wise) although it wasn't as hardcore as I would have prefered. I'td been pretty exciting if they had made it so you could loot player corpses.

Anyways I got bored (nobody had to drag me away from the game) and stopped playing. Now that the expansion is out I bought the battlechest and I'm playing with my GF in a private server. I don't know, I've never had the problem of being addicted to a game, I'll play it, put it down, go have fun, come back to it when I get bored/have nothing to do.

I think the best advise I can give people when playing the game is just to take it like this: If someone asks you to go out and have fun, and you make up an excuse so you can stay in your raid and get loot, put the game down, and go out. Seriously, I don't get how killing Ragnaros for like the 50th time, regardless of how close you are to getting whatever loot you want, can take precedence over going out with your friends.

Considering going back to a blizz server since the pvp is all messed up in private servers though.

When I was into WoW I never felted addicted. I was quite happy and in fact liked leaving the game to do other things. I remember playing quite heavily though, but I think that was for the grind if anything.

When does heavy investment become addiction?.

:|

Its puzzling is all, I could walk away from the game, go away for a few days and not care, but when it was available I'de play quite allot.
