my friend is always baned

MY friend just got half life 2 and the dm. He got his steam account and the first thing he did was go to play the death match. every server! baned him as soon as he got on. It would say baned and kicked. the only server that did not do that was mikes revenge 2. can somone explain why that is happening to him? over 30 servers baned him as soon as he connected.

Check the console every time it drops. It may show him to be VAC banned. In which case, two things may have happened. The previous owner cheated & got banned on that cd key, or your friend did so.

Well it was not him I was at his house when he installed and got that account. and the game was new. I do not know why it keeps happening I never had that type of problem. I checked it he tryed again it said band by admin. WHY ARE ADMINS BANNING A NOOB! HE JUST STARTED!

Delete the config.cfg and try again. He might have some illegal alias in use.

or that cl_allowclientcommands CVAR. That could be what's conflicting with the admin mods which autban for it.

The command is cl_restrict_server_commands 0.

To take a screen shot i just press f5 when it shows that message baned and kicked. I do not know why he keeps getting baned. This is the first time he has ever played half life 2 of the dm. Well he has been baned by over 50 servers he has tried to get on. the rest let him on. I noticed the no kill puzzle maze servers ban him as well.

no, All the letters were all screwed up, and everything pretty much died. It was in.. november I think.

There was a bit of a meltdown after repairs (moar liek REPROBLEMS am i rite, hay guys lol) to the server. Some icons (and names... poor Riomhaire didn't survive) were butchered beyond recognition.
