I've always wanted to play this game. Any advice before I start?

I would recommend that you start on Easy difficulty, but if you're seeking a big challenge then go for Normal.

I generally suck at Platform-ish games, so I'll probably just stick with Easy.

I'm officially at the Phantom. A few things:

-I HATE the camera angles, generally. Why Capcom didn't bother to add free-moving cameras instead of some crappy mix of normal and that shit they did with the early RE games beats me.

-Can you save without finishing a mission?

-Yeah.

the camera angle is not a big deal since the game is kind of simple

you can save whit the menu presing select, but when you load you start at the begining of the mission so is the same thing

Totally agreed. ****ing static camera angels, shove it up somewhere.

You must complete a mission otherwise you need to, if you should quit the game, play all the way from the start of that mission you quitted from.

Yup.

Fun...

Well, I beat whoever the second "real" boss is. That fight was a blast. I really like this game.

oh yeah the game is ****ing awsome

I challenge you that after completing that game you still thinking the enemies of other actions games are better

I would recommend, after you've beaten it, to play it on normal afterwards. You encounter one new enemy which, in my opinion, is one of best enemies in the game. A bitch to fight but really freakin' cool.

after you beat devil may cry, get devil may cry 3 special edition for like 20 bucks. dont bother with second one, its terrible

Yeah when I tried out DMC2 from a friend...I beat it with just using guns. That's how shitty and easy it was.

DMC3 is much more like DMC1 but mixes in a few elements of DMC2 (some of the advancement in styles and whatnot - none of the core gameplay).

Ah, DMC. God I love that game. Much more than the third, in fact- while the fighting is better in 3, it loses so much atmosphere. Anyway, you should've started on Normal- it's so much more fun that way.

I just got DMC3 SE for the PC & my first impression is that hte controls suck. It's nearly playable with a joystick after downloading 5 applications and using 2 of them to remap joystick stuff, but it appears that I'll have to buy a game-pad thing to play it (and who knows if it'll work properly on my gamepad?).

Other than that, the game itself seems really cool!

DMC2 was good, but short and easy. It also lacked the style of DMC and DMC3. It wasn't shitty, but definitely wasn't up to par of DMC.

I am still thinking the 3 didnt cacht up to the first one
