Here is an Updated Version of My Home from the OutSide this time.
Tell me what you think.

Wow thats pretty cool :) at first i thought wtf? this is just a pic of some guys house!

hmmm... looks like u did it with the ilegil beta to me. Especially with that curb texture and the writing in the top left hand corner. Looks good anyway. Ow ye and the curb is wayyy to thick. Or the binds look to small... not sure. What did u actually make it in?

That sure looks like HL1 to me.. but that text at the top is fishy..

Thx guys for your comments. I dont think anyone liked the other one tho( the kitchen picture).I think several of you guys were complaing about the chairs and the size and proportion was wrong. But i have tryed to get everything the right size now. this past cuple of months, i have sent resizeing things. and i will fix the curve. Oh and i made it in hammer. One more thing. Does anyone know how to chnage a map from 3Ds Max back to an rmf? Thx again.

Nice. I am going to map my house for Far Cry and pick people off from my bedroom window. Heh.

must say the lighting in that map there is par excellent. Textures look a bit blurred but eh, im being picky. Great job dude. Comend you on that lighting though, looks almost liek video post work, heh.

The Textures look blurred because its a Jpeg.
They dont let me post the high resolution picture.
lol

Hah, that's funny. There is no way that is made in HL1's hammer.

tbh, I still think its the beta, the lamp post in the background is from the beta the kerb texture is also from the beta. Another thing with your jpg excuse, tbh not even paint converts pictures into jpgs and makes them look that bad, there is no colour merging and you can tell its just blurred.

So tbh... I think its hl2 beta. I could be wrong though, I would like to be proved wrong though.

Look at the garbage can model. Nothing like that in HL1. Also, the roof tile texture....looks like one of the textures from the videos.

Grrr... I want to see it too :) The link has been removed...

It was from the stolen build so they had to...

And I didn't see it...

did the author admit it? because I remember looking at those pics and it very well could have been a map with no regard for r_speeds and texture sizes (512x512, even as someone mentioned, they were blurry). Add a few cyclers you modeled in 3dsmax and you could definately have an HL1 map, as for the textures,, I'm doing this from memory so Idont know

If the author is willing to provide evidence that it's actually a HL map, I'll be happy to restore the link. However, our panel of experts have come to the conclusion that it's been done in HL2.

Let me see the pic MurHo.

It was using HL2 textures/objects. No question on what was used to build it.

So you're not interested in proving that it wasn't done with the leaked beta then?

So I guess it was with hl2 textures... naughty...

We don't need any, it doesn't matter if it was HL2 textures/map. I wonder if the maps created with the leaked Hammer will work on the final build. Maybe they have done something to check with wich version the map was created and refuse to load it if it was made with the leaked one...

If they did do that, i an imagine it could cause no end of problems. Not just with beta made maps either...

Yeah, imagine the bugs

It's going to be no problem for Valve to tell the current build of Source not to accept .bsp files from earlier (pre-release) builds. Cutting out the issue of bsp files created with the stolen files. They can do something similar for Hammer to not accept older pre-compiled files too. Sure, there will be ways around it, but who's going to mess around working those out when they can just buy the game and do them properly

I am inclined to agree with Fenric, as there wouldn't be much to gain from blocking the .bsp files from an earlier build. Legal issues, yes, but nothing that would serve vALVE as a software creator or Vivendi moneywise.

Personally I am curious if AgentXen used stolen material to generate this. But from my expirence his behavior indicates guilt.

AngetXen if you truly did not use the stolen build to generate this, then please at least make an atempt to clear your name. As silence goes a long way towards implying guilt.

Or lack of reading this thread :P
