The jealousy is oozing from every hole in my body.

Just to give you an idea how loud this beast of nature is.

The volume scale is from -80 to 80 If i put it at 1 the room shakes @ 4 you can hear it outside. IMAGINE at anything over 20!!!!!! GLASS WILL ****ING BREAK!!!!!!!

:O

Scary...too bad I live in an apartment and would get evicted for that amount of sound.

By the way, couldn't you have put something a little more epic on that TV other than elephants or w/e is on it?

come on man, get creative!

Its the Planet Earth HD DVD and i was in a rush! The final pictures should have much more then elephants! I might even make a video!

I want to tip over that TV.

:|

No, GOOD man for having both!

Nice setup...can I has ur monies?

Lol, this is not braglife2.net, lol.

well I own a house and two cars so you suck Asuka

what is the reasoning behind posting this?

either let us all "borrow" your set up so we can see how "awesome" it is for ourselves or shaddup ..static pics do nothing for me man!

The electric bill alone would be enough to bankrupt most of us.

Rear projection TV right? Looks like mine from the shape. So much cheaper than LCD and plasma. :D

I think he's planning on inviting us over, that must be it.

you bring the chips I'll bring the dip ..someone bring a moving van so we can haul away Asuka's home theatre thingy ..we can set up a HL2.ent clubhouse in my basement so we have somewhere to game on Asuka's generously donated Home theatre system ...for members only of course (me)

Home theatre is an instant win, stealing one works too. I can't afford anything like that at the moment, and to be honest even though it would be really nice, I can't justify spending that much on home entertainment just to potatoe out on the couch every evening.

I can afford it but ...

I can't justify spending that much on home entertainment just to potatoe out on the couch every evening.

what you said

If I could afford one, I wouldn't necessarily have it just to potatoe out on the couch every evening. I could easily justify having one of those incredible systems for every major sporting event in my life time.

Super Bowls, Stanley Cup Finals, World Cups, World Series', and everything in between. Heck, I'd even enjoy watching NASCAR on occasion!

Its a LCD Projo Hybrid. Right with DLP for picture quality. Sacrifice a little room for better picture.

The only downfall on the projo side is that on rare cases you see the screen door effect. Then again if i got a plasma it would be reflection and grain. The other option i had was DLP but thats not where i want it yet. So i compromised.

I settled for 5% screen door effect rather then grain and having to worry about reflection.

and the reason for posting this is for information, i like it when people post their computer/home theater setups gives me ideas and i like to see how they do it. What they use etc..

Not bad. Do you intend to get back speakers later?

I'll show you my setup, I'll post it in a couple minutes.

Already have them its the 3rd picture. That's my back left one. I'm still trying to find the perfect spot for them. Taking a break from wiring right now.

The back speakers i got are a lot bigger then normal back speakers and im having a hard time finding a good spot for them.

Btw just to set the record straight I'm not rich.

Ok so here are 3 images of the setup I am currently using:

http://img368.imageshack.us/my.php?image=audio001gg6.jpg

This is the front. The speakers on the shelf are not hooked up. The bottom speakers are sony speakers (quite old, but work very well). Behind the right front speaker is a 10 inch subwoofer (polk audio) 10 inch is a good size for a subwoofer. Any larger will create distortion on high frequency bass sounds.

http://img368.imageshack.us/my.php?image=audio002ge6.jpg

This is part of the back. The 2 speakers are the back speakers and the other speaker is the side speaker (there is another one on the other side of the room.)

http://img368.imageshack.us/my.php?image=audio003bd8.jpg

This is the reciever I am using. It is an Harmon Kardon AVR 240. Cost me $1000 around a year and a half ago. I tried to get a shot of it with the flash off, unfortunatly the focus goes crazy and the picture looks bad. It doesn't have an HDMI input in the back so I can't get uncompressed audio, but the optical is good enough. It can handle up to seven channels (speakers) simutaniously, making it a 7.1 Surround sound reciever. I have My PS3, X360 and Wii all hooked up to this thing, and the sound is fantastic (especially on the PS3 with the higher sample rate).

I have been building my Home Theater for many years. I've saved up quite a bit to get a system like this, so I'm not rich, I just save up until I have enough to get what I want. That crappy TV of mine is being replaced by one of the new samsung LCD TV's. I'll be buying that at the end of November.

Nice and anyone else with cool setups post away.
