My ISP

Okay, Im fed up with my ISP. This has got to be the worst net provider in the world. I move to Idaho about a year and a half ago to a small town of 300 people. The only business here is the phone company, Direct Communications. They offer 512k DSL at $50 a month. A little pricey, but being in the middle of nowhere makes it worth it. However, there is a HUGE flaw. They jew the heck outta me with bandwidth. The VERY most i get is 430k and its never at that constant speed. Playing games is hell, my ping ranges from 100-400 and lag spikes are always consistent. And the biggest problem of them all.....they are the only ISP available in the area. --------------->FTW<-------------- Is there a damn thing i can do? Satelite is too expensive, wireless isnt good in thick weather, and Qwest doesnt support my area. :angry:

well internet can never stay at the constant speed and i think thats the best u can get out of the connection

Buy all the shares of the company, then aggressively take it over. Now call it 'Uriel's Internet Connection Inc.' Give yourself an 8Gbit connection with unlimited bandwidth.

Or you could try one of those connection speed enhancers you can find on the net.
