My JBmod self-sufficient raft! :)

I was just messing around with JBmod .05 and Building Blocks Final, and I decided to make a raft. However, it would need to have all the comforts of home: A place to sleep, a place to sit, and a computer. Naturally. Also, I included some food incase I wanted to...you know...survive.

Surprisingly well, actually. I made sure that every part of it was connected together, so the bedframe wouldn't fall into the water, the monitor fall off, etc.

Now all I need is the CPU model from CS Source's Office level, and then my raft could have an actual FUNCTIONING computer, instead of just a blank monitor! :p

You forgot the toilet.. Oh well, it would've ended up in the lake anyway wouldn't it.. :p
 
I made some very nice flying contraptions... tho the game crashed if they exploded :D

I had one made of those blue barrels, they went around in a circle and could roll. I was going to try it on some water, but i'm too lazy to open HL2...

For those of you too lazy to check elsewhere (actually, for people like me! :) ) here's the info:

I am using JBMOD version 0.5, which basically lets you weld stuff together, attach gas-canisters (which create propulsion), and basically create whatever you want.

The map I used was Building Blocks Final, which I got from Fileplanet. It was just recently released. In it, you can spawn various objects (like those blue buoys that float, and the chair, the matress, etc.), and using these items, you can create your own work of art!

(The wait at fileplanet was about 5 min this morning)

I am still too lazy to log into fileplanet so then I can make a weapon that I kept giving blue prints to the militaryt and I nearly got sued

Ok now before I get the mod I have one question. Will this replace the manipulator?
 
What do you mean by thing? I would make a plane out of the airboat. Attach a few metal sheets and those gas canisters for acceleration boosters

edit..unless you were making a vague reference to my raft that could easily be mistaken for posts...

I do have a question Jameth. Will this mod replace the gravity gun?
 
That video was pretty cool

You needed something welded to the wood on the bottom like scrapmetal to reinforce it
 
um, the wood will break regardless :D i tried reinforcing it with steel. just didn't work

so i added more planks of wood. that seemed to make it more sturdy. until it hits land (as seen in last one)

when I exracted the mod into the HL2 folder and I start it up and type in ''map [map name]" it becomes non-responsive and does not work :|
 
Look at this, it's the Superman saving Alyx :p (no cheats used; I'm flying because of the phys gun bug(?))
 
Bobcat they don't explode because when you spawn them they are invincible...

Sure its non-responsive? First time I did it I thought that happened so I closed it down, second time I gave it a chance and left it awhile, it loaded up eventually. Seems to take a while the first time, but it gets alot faster after that. If not erm, Im not sure.

I meant the original raft. :)
 
when you are loading a map and you have jbmod enabled dont loose hope. It takes like 3 times the normal loading time when you have JB Mod enabled so sit back grab a drink and grill up some hot dogs, then your map will be ready.

Also, my brother is currently in the process of making a 10-story tall robot made competely out of soda machines.

And yes, before you ask: We have entirely too much time on our hands. :p
 
Ah, this map is great! I made a some sort of melon jam machine out of the airplane-shaped entity in the map. I threw about 20 melons in the cockpit and attached canisters all over it. 10 seconds of spinning like mad and the cockpit was a red mess.
