My mom; re: Rammstein

I personally think their worst albums are herzeleid and sehnsucht, but considering how awesome Mutter and Reise Reise are, that's not necessarily an insult.
My biggest gripe with Herzeleid is the abuse of Till's vocals. The deep throaty growl is good in moderation, Herzeleid abuses it.

Du Hast was a crappy song and I never understood its popularity. I guess the draw is that all the non German speakers could sing the whole thing and it wasn't that big of a pain to translate. But considering everyone ****ed up the translation anyway (if I hear one more person call the song "You hate" I'm going to kill a puppy), I guess that doesn't mean much.

What does Du Hast mean in German than? I was under the impression it was You Hate? :( I guess that's what I get for dropping German.

Du
Du hast
Du hast mich

Du hast mich
Du hast mich gefragt
Du hast mich gefragt
Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt

Which, roughly translated, means

You
You have
You have AIDS

You have AIDS
You have AIDS you fag
You have AIDS you fag
You have AIDS you fag and you did another fag

It's not a very nice song.

Du Hasst = You Hate. Du Hast = you have.

"You hate" makes no sense anyway.

"You
You hate
You hate me (makes sense up to here)
You hate asked me
You hate asked me and I have said nothing" (wtf mate!)

"Du Hast" is actually a bit of a German pun, really, that uses the have/hate homonyms. It only because clear which is being said until later in the song.

Right but considering most people listen to a song all the way through, that confusion should have been cleared up for all. :hmph:
