I finally got clearance for this from the parents, but they're gonna help me out with the money part. But anyways, here's the build.

Click! <---

I was going to get that video card or a 6800GT, just depends.

Comments?
Suggestions?

EDIT: Already have my Harddrive... :)

I'd suggest maybe a more powerful CPU.

Nice machine though ;)

I'd go with an athlon 64 3200+ minimum, but that system looks quite decent.

I was planning to overclock, actually, to at least a 2.0, or maybe even a 2.2. In a lot of reviews people have sucessfully overclocked to something like that with orginal heatsink... but should I get an aftermarket one just in case?

u can prob. get it to 2.4

Considering how cheap that power supply is, I think your better off just not buying it and using the 450 one that comes with the case.

FSP is a very relibable company.
Never used them but the price seem soo low. But hey if your own personal experinces are good with em, I can't argue with that.

Yep, my current system has a 300W one, I wanted to upgrade to more wattage since this system is going to need more power.

W00t! Q_onfused finally gets an upgrade!!!!

We shall celebrate with screenowned ness.

Anyway, Asus has the same cpu, and I think he got it overclocked pretty well. I'd say get a xp90 or better yet, and xp120 if it'll fit on your mobo. You could probably crank some serious numbers with that.

Oh yeah, and i'd go with a 6800gt. I love mine to death.

If you have some extra money laying around, bumping the 3000+ to 3500+ and the 800XL to 850XT PE would make a huge difference.

My second computer has a X850XT PE AGP version in it, and it runs everything quite nice (it has a 3500+ also, with only 1.5GB ram).

But I'd at least go with the 3200+ and OC it from there, 3000 isn't too powerful.

Nice setup though.

Nice picks. I was about to recommend a PSU upgrade (looking at the one that comes with the case) but then I saw the Fortron powersupply in there. Looks set to rock.

If you plan to OC the memory I would get some better sticks but if you are just going to OC the CPU then you are fine. If you do choose to OC your memory as well, the performance increase will really be even better. A64 shines even more with that faster memory. ;)

My 3000+ is a Newcastle (130nm) on Socket 754 and I got mine to 2.4GHz easy. Those 90nm CPUs have a better results most of the time so they should get to 2.4/2.6GHz maybe. ;)

Update: I changed some parts. First, the PSU because I found this one; it's cheaper and more wattage, also has two fans, which can't be bad. I also changed to a 6800GT, only $20 more. Additionally, I changed the CD/DVD Drive; cheaper. Along with everything else, I changed the case to another... I think it looks better, also $2 cheaper... :p

Any comments, suggestions? Any and all are welcome!
