My new toy! :D (M4A1 Carbine)

Uh? Arent guns like that kinda illegal in Britain. So then, what you planning on doing with it? Just sitting there obsessing? I dont understand some peoples obsession with guns, what can they actualy do with them thats worthwhile and not illegal? Games are ok, but I dont need to spend thousands on a real one thanx

Its not real, its an Airsoft gun.

And theres two places within 15mins drive and two more within an hours drive from where I stay that we have matches at. Its a great laugh and everyone should do it :)

P.S. Yeah I play but im yet to do outdoor stuff. Still waiting for some nice British 95 DPM's to come up :)

Outdoor in full black! You stick out like a sore thumb!

I wish there was a field near me. I wanted to get one just for the heck of it. I think that might have been the one I was looking at. Very nice. Is it true there is some sort of tracer system you can add to Airsoft weapons for nighttime battles?

I know you can get tracer round but im not sure how they work.

The pellets are easy enough to see from your own point of view when you fire as they move very little relative to your line of sight. However, if your getting shot at its hard to see where its comming from ;)

I presume night time tracer shots will just be glow in the dark BB's :D

Yeah, as far as i know they're just glow in the dark bb's and the tracer thingy itself's just a glorified uv light :p

Genious! :)

I'm thinking of pimping up my setup with a Aimdot when I got the cash. (Aimdot, not Laser)

But first I think I better get me some sexy cammo kit :D

LOL, that's one mean airsoft gun. i'd love to have a room full of dummies and one of those, you could go MAD!!!

is it an exact replica (apart from the fact it fires different ammo)? i mean does it fire accurately, at a similar speed etc.

forgive me if this is a stupid question, i'm a

They tend to fire at extreme speed, but some hardcore airsofters tune their guns to the same speed as the real thing and only put 30 (or whatever) rounds in the mag

Looks like an Airoft gun.

*Edit*

Oh, it is. :naughty: Nice dude. Where do you live/play at?

*Edit2*

Whoa, ****. Scotland. Nevermind. =D

Airsoft (wipes sweat from forehead)
So how eactly do the games work then? How you know if youve been shot/ shot someone else or not?

Yeah, the ICS version I got is about exact as you can get.

The forward assist, (The button on the side that the guy in CS Source pulls on) is accutaly a button in real life, and on my gun its used to release tension in the spring for storage. ( The real one is just to help clear jams)

The charging handle (used in real life to load the frist bullet from a mag into the camber) is used to release the catch on the ejector port which then lets you modify the hop-up (range)

As for speed, its not that fast. Its nothing hectic but im used to using semi-auto ;) (single shot) Yes, the fire select works, i.e. safe-semi-auto

v1p3r - I'm one of those guys ;) I use 5 -30Round mags rather than the 450round mag it came with... :)

Kristafon - You know when you shoot someone because he's in your sites and you pull the trigger. Its usualy followed by an "Argh you sh**! That hurts". Someone knows they've been hit because they have a alot of pain where they got shot :)

Oh yeah, and get this - Its heavier than the real life version (only by 0.3Kg) :D The real life one is mainly Fiberglass composites and stuff, mines full metal.

Wow looking at that site has got me really excited. Would you say the pain is more or less than getting paintballed as im ok with that threshold. Do you wear goggles? Are there any restrictions on where you can shoot?

My friends and I used to play all the time. There was this housing project out in California by some trails and a bunch of trees that we would play at. I don't play anymore though. It stopped being fun when people cheated and lied about being hit.

I have a Gas blow back Beretta 92F made completely out of metal and an M4A1 AEG.

My brother has an MP5K PDW and a Navy model MP5A5. They're so authentic that they are often mistaken for real guns. We don't have orange tips on them either, that gives your position away pretty bad.

Haven't played in over a year though.

Its less than a paintball - but you can get some serious upgrades that make it hurt more than a paintball just I don't think you can get them in the UK.

Unlike painball you dont have to wear full face masks, but anyone thats been shot in the cheek will tell you its pretty stupid not to wear something over your face ;)

I myself and just away to get a new Mask, http://www.airsoftshogun.com/P_319.htm not that one but I dont have the link to the one I want at home.

As you can see, as your using BB's you can afford to use a mesh that wont ever steam up - unlike paintball where paint could just go right through a mesh.

Yeah, theres restrictions on where you can play. In simple terms you can only play on private land other rules apply but you can be arrested from carrying it in the streets uncovered i.e. not in a bag

I will like to hav one

give a AK-47 :rolling:

BB's sting... paint balls hurt...

Used to have a Tokyo Mariu version of the M4A1, and it was mint... until i had to sell it because my uni halls had a zero tolerance policy on fire arms real or replica. Didn't stop us having a running gun battle around the halls with glocks after the pub. Which kids, is a silly idea... unless you ok it with Mr Vodka before hand...

paintballs don't hurt :p

I've not really been hit with a bb before.. a friend had a spring powered pistol and I got shot in the arse a few times with that but it didn't hurt. Can't you fire them up to something like 400fps though? I can imagine that stinging a little..

Paintballs dont hurt?! You must not play much, cause if you get one that doesnt break hitting you in the wrong place..... And yeah, 400 is max in UK i think, 350 on most Airsoft sites. Springers are like 90

QCB Tastic! :)

Yeah... ICS... I don't like those Olympic Arms trademarks, get a TM M4 and mount a G&P Metalbody with Colt tm's on it :p

Nah... ;) ICS' pretty cool. Just prefer TM.

SHIPPI plays more than you might think ;) Just a bit of a precursor there.

In the Navy, we get real guns. Hell, I'm from Texas. We all have guns, there! :p

nice m4, i jsut got a full tune up kit for my AK-47...it now shoots 575fps with .30 bb's. when it was at 450, me and my friend chopped down a bunch of bamboos trees, they guys that we were shooting at came out with blood all over there arms. if they would of just called "HIT" then i would of let go of the trigger but he didnt so we unloaded on them.

i used to paintball too, but paintball sux now. everyone is wearing BRIGHT outfits, and they jsut play with inflatable balloons on the field.

i fell in love with the AK47 hicap it holds 600 rounds.
when you play against me and my friends you have 2 choices when u get shot:

1. be honest and call the "HIT"

2. if you dont call the hit, then i'll unload 600 rounds on your ass.

During my first airsoft game at a new site a group of us got lost trying to out flank a enermy position. After wandering threw some bushes we heard someone talking up ahead. The guy on point couldn't see who it was so we decided to just charge them and hope they'd tell us where everyone else had gone.

The couple walking there dog were a bit suprised to find themselves surrounded by a group of eager 15yr olds armed to the teeth and dressed in full combat gear.

Heh, I play paintball a lot. I've taken plenty of bounces.. they bruise but I don't think they hurt. I feel them and check for paint but forget about them in a second :p Everyone's different though.. a friend of mine has been in tears after a hit, so...

Paintball's sting a bit but they don't hurt too much

i know it was an accident, but thats the type of stuff that gets airsoft banned.
