It is fully customizable......visually . You don't actually tune the suspension, brakes, or anything like that. Still a blast to play though.

I've been playing it with my cousin on his PS2 lately, and its very addicting. We actually spent about 30 minutes just deciding on the right colors for the base and the flame vinyl . (Level 3 paint yay).

The online play can be great, except believe me or not, there are a ton of cheaters. I have been playing for about 4 days and i already came across 4-5 cheaters. The most common one is the speed cheat....the max speed in NFSU is 230mph (maybe 235) and the speed cheat makes you go 400mph+ and you dont have to shift.

I think the reason behind this (besides the lack of anticheat protection) is the fact that PS2 owners can play online with PC owners. This was a big mistake. To cheat on a PS2 all you gotta do is put in a gameshark (which most ppl have) and the cheats you used in single player work online. Which is such crap. They really need to add punkbuster. Other than that, this game is a 10.

Dont give anyone the wrong idea, you do get performance upgrades for those things....like suspension kits/brake kits.

Hate to bump , but this isnt too old. I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to have color changing pain in this game , also if its possible to be able to pain the vinyls. Ive seen a few competitors with color changing paint and painted vinyls , and now I NEED that. Also heres my Acura RSX (Ricers die)

Note that the paint on the rims is chrome in game , the third shot will show this , I dont understand why they cant show up chrome in preview

My current RX-7. Goin for the Black and Yellow look...the dragon stuff on the car is just temporary until I can get yellow stripes and stuff on it.

Fun game so far. Drag racing is my favorite. Some of the regular races just bug the shit outta me.

I want there to be a LAN patch though. I wanna be able to drag with my friend.

Would you suggest getting it for Xbox then so I can play singleplayer and then play it on Xbox Live?

Amish you should lower the car some more if you can do that in the game.

It's as low as it can be right now. Suspension sets change the height a little. I'll try and mess around with the side skirts and such for a min...

Yes. Don't get it on the XBOX because NFS on the XBOX is not Live! capable. EA were a bunch of bastards and decided to screw the Xbox and GC people on multiplay. Get it for your computer instead.

My new ride I have the yellow-black look goin on with my skyline. I like it.

I found NFSU to be extremely annoying near the end. It started to turn into what I hate in a driving sim. "Rubberbanding" became obvious and AI cheating as well. It really freakin' bugged me.

Gotta say that my favorite mode by far is Drag. Lots of fun.
